The Watch

British brand Thomas Earnshaw expands its Longitude watch collection, inspired by navigators of the past. Known as the "father of the modern chronometer," renowned watchmaker Thomas Earnshaw created chronometers that earned him an award from the Board of Longitude in 1805. This watch features a round stainless steel case measuring 44 mm in diameter and 14 mm thick, well suited to men's wrists. A crown at 3 o'clock lets you set the hands, while mineral crystal helps protect the dial from scratches and wear. This navigator-inspired watch is water-resistant to 50 meters, thanks in part to its transparent screw-down case back, which reveals the automatic movement in action.

The Dial

The watch's nautical spirit comes through in its round, all-gray dial. The skeletonized design reveals the automatic movement at its center. Blue hour and minute hands sit alongside Roman numeral hour markers around the dial, adding to the model's classic character. Three subdials complete the display. At 9 o'clock, a 12-hour subdial shows a second time zone. A sun indicator sits at 6 o'clock, while a moon-phase display sits at 12 o'clock. With the sun, moon and two time zones close at hand, you can keep your bearings at sea. Earnshaw's signature appears at 3 o'clock.

The Movement

An automatic movement powers the hands and subdials. Smooth and precise, it keeps you reliably oriented in time and space. You can also admire the mechanism through the skeletonized dial and transparent case back.

The Bracelet

The watch's elegance extends to its silver-tone stainless steel bracelet. Three rows of brushed links give it a modern look, while delicate rose gold accents run the length of the bracelet. A single-fold clasp makes it easy to fasten. The 20 mm lug width helps provide a comfortable, secure fit.

Water Resistance

Water-resistant to 5 atmospheres, or 50 meters, this watch offers a first step into water resistance. It is not designed for bathing, lap swimming or scuba diving, though you can occasionally leave it on in the shower. Still, our experts recommend keeping it dry to help preserve its movement for years to come.
