The Watch

Watchmaker Earnshaw presents its ES-8006-04 model from the Longitude collection. Inspired by seafarers navigating the open ocean, this watch pays tribute to Thomas Earnshaw - nicknamed the "father of the modern chronometer" - whose marine chronometers earned recognition from the Board of Longitude in 1805. The watch features a round stainless steel case measuring 44 millimeters in diameter and 14 millimeters thick - ideal proportions for men's wrists. The dial is shielded from shocks and wear by a mineral crystal. A crown at the 3 o'clock position lets you set the hands with ease. Finally, this model is water-resistant to 50 meters, thanks to its transparent screw-down case back that reveals the rotor in action.

The Dial

The real showpiece of this watch is its dial. Round and black, it features a stunning skeleton finish through which you can admire the automatic movement in action. At the center, two gold-tone hands indicate the hours and minutes. Around the dial, the hour indices take the form of Roman numerals, reinforcing the watch's authentic spirit. You'll also spot three counters: a 12-hour counter displaying a second time zone at 9 o'clock, a sun indicator at 6 o'clock, and a moon phase counter at 12 o'clock - all essential tools for navigation at sea. Earnshaw signs its name at the 3 o'clock index.

The Movement

This timepiece comes alive through an automatic movement, reliably and precisely driving the hour and minute hands as well as the various counters. You can catch a glimpse of it through the skeleton finish and the transparent case back.

The Strap

Completing the watch's look, a black leather strap adds a touch of elegance. Its crocodile-pattern finish brings a modern feel, while tone-on-tone stitching adds a refined detail. A silver-tone pin buckle engraved with the brand name lets you adjust the fit to your wrist. The lug width is 22 millimeters.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 5 atmospheres, or 50 m. It's built to turn heads, not to take a swim. That said, it handles the elements with ease. You can wear it in the shower on occasion - though the Ocarat team strongly recommends leaving it on the bathroom shelf to preserve its brilliance and longevity. As for swimming and diving, we strongly advise against it to avoid damage and costly repairs.
