The Watch

British watchmaker Thomas Earnshaw expands its Longitude collection with the ES-8006-11. Inspired by seafarers navigating by instrument, this watch pays tribute to Thomas Earnshaw himself - nicknamed the "father of the modern chronometer" - whose marine timepieces were honored by the Board of Longitude in 1805. The watch features a round stainless steel case measuring 44 millimeters in diameter and 14 millimeters thick - perfectly sized for men's wrists. A crown at 3 o'clock lets you set the hands with ease. The dial is protected from scratches and wear by a mineral crystal. This watch is water-resistant to 50 meters, thanks to its transparent screw-down case back that reveals the automatic movement in motion - so you can take it anywhere, even near water.

The Dial

The watch's soul shines through its round, black dial. The skeleton finish lets you watch the automatic movement breathe life into the hands - gold-tone at the center, marking the hours and minutes. The hour indices around the edge take the form of Roman numerals, deepening the model's authentic character. Three counters complete the picture: a 12-hour counter at 9 o'clock showing a second time zone, a sun indicator at 6 o'clock, and a moon phase counter at 12 o'clock. These three complications are essential for navigating at sea - giving you the moon, the sun, and two time zones right on your wrist, so you never lose track of time. Earnshaw signs its creation at 3 o'clock.

The Movement

The hours, minutes, and counters all spring to life through an automatic movement - fluid, precise, and dependable. You can admire the mechanism in action through the skeleton finish and the transparent case back.

The Strap

The watch's elegance carries through to its silver-tone stainless steel bracelet. Three rows of links with a brushed finish give it a modern edge. A deployment clasp makes fastening effortless at any size. The lug width is 22 millimeters, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 5 atmospheres, or 50 m. Built to impress, it's at its best in the spotlight - not underwater. That said, it can handle the elements with ease. You can wear it in the shower on occasion, though the Ocarat team strongly recommends leaving it on the shelf to preserve its brilliance long-term. As for swimming and diving, we strongly advise against it to avoid damage and repair costs.
