Laco was founded in southwestern Germany in 1925 by Frieda Lacher and Ludwig Hummel. In the 1940s, it became one of the few manufacturers authorized to produce pilot watches for the German Air Force, worn by countless pilots. That military chapter was, in many ways, the launchpad for its success.
