The Watch

Founded in 1925, Laco is a German watchmaking brand renowned for its craft-focused approach. The manufacture presents the Atacama in a new iteration: the Atacama Quartz UTC 862163. Functional and technical, it's built for everyday wear and adventure alike. Slim, sturdy, and precise, it features a conical case in black PVD-coated stainless steel with an elegant satin finish. The case measures 46 mm in diameter, 10.50 mm thick, and weighs 106 grams - a versatile fit for any man's wrist. A black unidirectional bezel marked with a countdown scale sits on top. The dial is protected by a flat sapphire crystal that shields against everyday shocks. The screw-down crown is uniquely positioned at 12 o'clock, setting this watch apart - from there, it handles hours, minutes, and date adjustments. Finally, the screw-down caseback ensures water resistance to 20 ATM.

The Dial

The dial of this watch draws on military design with a bold, graphic layered layout. Divided into three layers that add depth and presence, it features a matte black base with a minute track running along the outer edge. The bezel displays white Arabic numerals at 5-minute intervals, surrounding orange Arabic numerals that provide a second time zone in 24-hour format. At the center of the dial, another set of white Arabic numerals indicates the time in 12-hour format. The 6 o'clock index is replaced by a white-background date window. The analog display features four hands: a large orange hand for the minutes, a small arrow-shaped white hand for the hours, an apple-type seconds hand, and a fourth black arrow-shaped hand with an orange tip for the second time zone (GMT). All hands and key markers are coated with Superluminova C3 for clear readability in low-light conditions. The brand signature sits below 12 o'clock, and the collection name appears above 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This model is powered by a Swiss quartz movement - caliber Ronda 515.24h, fitted with one jewel and driven by a type 371 battery that reliably powers all central functions.

The Strap

This watch features a comfortable, highly durable rubber strap. In black, it has a lug width of 22 mm and a black PVD-coated stainless steel pin buckle. Two flexible attachment points ensure a perfect fit on the wrist.

Water Resistance

This model delivers water resistance of 20 atmospheres (200 meters) - making it a serious companion for deep-water activities. Built for freediving, it can also handle high-pressure cleaners without breaking a sweat. Showering, bathing, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. For scuba diving with tanks, however, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Important: never operate the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged, to protect the movement's integrity.
