The Watch

German watchmaker Laco presents its Pilot Basic Bielefeld 39 - a unisex timepiece with a 39 mm case diameter and a full black aesthetic. The round case is crafted in finely brushed grey stainless steel with a diameter of 39 mm. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal covers the luminescent three-hand dial. The hands are set via the crown at 3 o'clock. The transparent case back, fitted with a second sapphire crystal, showcases the automatic movement and its sweeping oscillations. Finally, the slim, understated fixed bezel keeps the focus on the beautifully designed dial.

The Dial

This double-circle dial features a black color and a semi-matte finish, with slightly green hour markers coated in non-radioactive SuperLuminova C3 luminescence. This luminescence is applied to the three hands (hours, minutes, seconds), the baton indexes, the wide minute track, and the Arabic numerals. The hour and minute hands feature a Sword shape. The seconds hand has an illuminated Wire shape running along its full length. In addition to the baton indexes integrated into the minute track, there are two rows of Arabic numerals - one indicating the minutes and the other the hours. At 12 o'clock, a luminescent arrow points outward from the dial, true to the aviation spirit of the Pilot collection.

The Movement

The Bielefeld 39 watch runs on an automatic movement of Japanese origin, Miyota 821A caliber. It offers a 42-hour power reserve and oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, displaying hours, minutes, and seconds.

The Strap

This strap is crafted from black calf leather, featuring contrasting beige stitching along both edges. The 18 mm lug width is reinforced with two grey stainless steel rivets. It fastens with a black ardillon buckle.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 5 atmospheres (50 meters), this watch offers a solid entry into everyday water resistance. While it's not designed for swimming laps or diving, you can safely keep it on in the shower. That said, our experts recommend keeping this timepiece dry whenever possible to protect its mechanism for years to come.
