The Watch

Humbert Droz has been crafting exceptional timepieces across 4 generations. Their collections pair refined design with enduring elegance, dressing both men's and women's wrists with charm. This HD1 «Platane» watch is a testament to that passion and expertise. It houses a cushion case crafted from 316L stainless steel with a black PVD treatment. At 43 mm in diameter and 13.50 mm thick, it's built for a bold, confident wrist. The case features a brushed finish and 4 screws positioned on either side for a distinctly striking look. The dial sits beneath a mineral crystal, while the screwed steel caseback is skeletonized to reveal the movement within. Water resistance reaches 10 ATM. Finally, the black carbon screwed crown at 3 o'clock allows adjustment of the analog display, complete with a crown guard for added protection and a sleeker aesthetic.

The Dial

This timepiece reveals a stunning rounded dial in a rich green hue that brings a vibrant energy to your wrist. A gorgeous sunray finish adds an extra layer of brilliance. An open-heart window at 12 o'clock offers a teasing glimpse of the movement beneath the dial - accented with luminescent markers for low-light readability. Baton indices paired with Arabic numerals are swept by two satin-finished steel hands with Luminova, displaying the hours and minutes with precision. The seconds are tracked by a matching satin-finished steel sweep hand with an arrow-tipped end. The minutes are framed by a railroad track with graduation marks every 5 minutes and Arabic numerals every 10. At 6 o'clock, the brand's signature and movement reference complete the dial.

The Movement

The brand chose an automatic movement for this masterpiece. More precisely, the ETA 2824 caliber, assembled in France, drives the hours, minutes, and seconds with precision and reliability. It features 25 jewels, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and delivers a power reserve of 38 hours.

The Strap

The watch features a strap crafted in carbon-embossed bovine leather. Finished with elegant tone-on-tone stitching, it wraps your wrist with understated sophistication. Adorned on the right with the colors of the French flag and offering a lug width of 24 mm, it secures with a deployment buckle.

Water Resistance

With water resistance up to 100 meters - or 10 ATM in watchmaking speak - this bold timepiece is equally at home at a black-tie gala or in the water. Feel free to wear it in the shower, the bath, or during any swim (even an intense one!). That said, our team of watch experts wants to be clear: this model is not designed for scuba diving (freediving or tank), nor for use with high-pressure washers. Remember: showers, baths, and swimming only - and don't operate the pushers or crown while submerged.
