HD1 «Impérial» Watch

The Watch

Humbert-Droz is a French company with roots going back to 1956, crafting timepieces in the finest watchmaking tradition - celebrated for the quality of their movements. The HD1 Impérial, offered as a limited edition, blends aesthetics with technical excellence. Its cushion-shaped case measures 43 mm in diameter and 13.5 mm in thickness. Crafted from 316L stainless steel with a black PVD coating, it sports a brushed finish that enhances the watch's appeal. The surface is secured by 4 screws, and the dial is protected by a mineral crystal. On the right side of the case, a crown guard fully shields the screw-down crown - finished in carbon black - which is used to set the hours and minutes. On the caseback, a large transparent window set into the screw-down back lets you admire the movement and oscillating weight in all their glory. The caseback provides water resistance to 10 ATM.

The Dial

The brand unveils a dial designed to impress. Laid out for easy time reading, it features an open-heart finish at 12 o'clock against a matte black backdrop. Its perimeter is framed by a minute track surrounding Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, with baton indexes marking the remaining hours - all encircled by a seconds graduation on the outer rim. The sword-shaped hour and minute hands wear a satin black finish and feature a white luminova insert for easy reading in low-light conditions. The seconds hand ends in an arrow tip and shares the same luminescent treatment. Finally, the brand signature and movement type are displayed just above 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This Humbert-Droz HD1 watch is powered by a Swiss-made automatic mechanical movement. Featuring 25 jewels and beating at 28,800 vibrations/hour, the ETA 2824 caliber delivers precise analog timekeeping with a power reserve of 38 hours.

The Strap

This model comes fitted with a genuine alligator leather strap and a steel pin buckle. In black with tone-on-tone stitching and a French flag detail near the 5 o'clock lug, it's as elegant as it is versatile - the perfect finishing touch for any outfit.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance to 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. That's a genuinely water-resistant watch! Ready to dive into any aquatic adventure - from puddles to the pool - this timepiece takes a splash without complaint. Showers, baths, and lap swimming are all fair game. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want you to know that this model, while water-resistant, is not suited for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend not operating the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged.
