A symbol of perfection, precision, and quality, the renowned Besançon workshop Réparalux has been crafting refined, trend-forward timepieces under the Humbert-Droz name since 2016. This French watchmaking brand carries the family legacy and four generations of ingenuity through every dazzling creation assembled by its master watchmakers. Today, they introduce the new HD1 - the Carbone Watch, a clean retro-modern design with effortless appeal. A limited edition of 200 pieces crafted for the modern, stylish man. Its cushion-shaped case in brushed 316L stainless steel measures 43 mm in diameter and 13.50 mm thick. Protected by a mineral glass crystal, the surface features a black PVD treatment and four visible screws for a bold, dynamic look. On the case, a black carbon screw-down protected crown at 3 o'clock lets you set and manually wind the hands. Water-resistant to 100 meters thanks to its screw-down caseback, the numbered caseback also features a transparent aperture that offers a captivating view of the movement's inner workings.
This round dial is the perfect blend of clean minimalism and modern edge - ready to make a statement on any wrist. With a matte finish, it wears a deep, intense carbon black and features an open-heart complication at 12 o'clock for a visually arresting effect. Two satin-black hands and a slender black seconds hand tipped with an arrow glide smoothly across the dial, all coated with a white Luminova treatment for clear readability of hours, minutes, and seconds even in low-light conditions. All three hands sweep over a minute railroad track on the outer edge, surrounded by Arabic numerals every 10 minutes. Hours are marked by Arabic numeral indexes at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and nine baton indexes for the rest. Humbert-Droz signs its limited edition with the brand name and movement type at 6 o'clock.
Powering this watch is a Swiss-made automatic movement celebrated for its quality and performance - fitted with 25 jewels and beating at 28,800 vph. With a 38-hour power reserve, the ETA 2824 caliber drives the hands with flawless precision, delivering reliable readability of hours, minutes, and seconds at all times.
The watch is fitted with a bovine leather strap with a sporty yet refined look. Carbon-embossed, it comes in a rich black with tone-on-tone stitching. Comfortable and versatile, it elevates both daytime and evening looks with understated elegance. The stainless steel deployant clasp makes it easy to put on and take off while keeping it securely in place all day long. Note that the lug width is 24 mm.
This model offers water resistance up to 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - making it a genuinely water-resistant timepiece. Built for life near water, it can handle anything from puddles to the pool without complaint. Shower, bath, and lap swimming? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want you to know this watch is not designed for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and pushers locked during immersion.
