The Watch

Since its founding in 1965, French manufacturer Humbert-Droz has crafted quality watches that marry precision, technique, and aesthetics. The HD1 «Fantôme» brings a bold contemporary style defined by its deep black palette. A symbol of strength and mystery, it features a cushion-shaped case in black PVD-treated 316L stainless steel, measuring 43 mm in diameter and 13.5 mm in thickness. Its brushed, black PVD-treated surface is accented by 4 screws that amplify the watch's visual appeal. On the right, a screw-down crown in carbon black is topped by an upward-opening crown guard for added shock protection. The mineral crystal covers the dial, while the screw-down caseback features a transparent aperture revealing the movement in all its complexity. Water resistance: 10 ATM.

The Dial

This timepiece features a breathtaking open-heart dial. Dressed in deep black, its perimeter carries a graduation marked every 10 units in Arabic numerals, surrounding a minute track flanked by baton indexes and additional Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. The 12 o'clock index is replaced by an open heart - a captivating detail that frames a direct view of the movement. The two hands, in black satin, are highlighted by a luminova-treated insert for clear legibility in dark surroundings. The seconds hand shares the same finish and treatment, tipped with an arrow. The brand signature completes the design just above 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This watch is powered by an ETA 2824 automatic movement. Swiss-made, it drives the hour, minute, and seconds hands with an oscillation frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour and a power reserve of 38 hours.

The Strap

This watch comes with a stunning black bovine leather strap with a carbon finish - sophisticated enough for any occasion, day or night. Detailed with contrast stitching and a French flag accent, it fastens securely with a stainless steel deployant clasp. Lug width: 24 mm.

Water Resistance

With water resistance to 100 meters - or 10 ATM in the language of watchmaking - this bold timepiece is equally at home at a gala or in the water. Wear it in the shower, the bath, or the pool (even for an energetic swim). That said, our watchmaking experts want to be clear: this model is not designed for scuba or freediving, and should never be used with high-pressure cleaning equipment. Remember: showers, baths, and swimming only - and don't operate the pushers or crown while submerged.
