The Watch

Founded in 2013, French watchmaker Humbert-Droz has built a reputation for charming timepieces that are modern, on-trend, and dependable - earning admirers among watch enthusiasts and connoisseurs of quality alike. Carrying forward a family legacy passed down through four generations, each watch is crafted with deep passion and meticulous attention to detail, built to accompany its wearer with style and reliability for years to come. Paying tribute to France's republican heritage, the brand channels its expertise and creativity - blending watchmaking, history, craftsmanship, and poetry - to bring to life a new collection called HD11, inspired by the republican calendar. Part of this line, the magnificent "Thermidor" timepiece, whose name references the month of heat, is ready to earn its place on your wrist every day, turning heads wherever you go. It lets you carry your distinguished style with confidence, day and night, in an assertively chic and elegant manner. Its case features a cushion shape measuring 44 mm in width and 13.50 mm in thickness. Crafted in 316L stainless steel with a black PVD coating and a satin/polished finish, it delivers a captivating visual effect. Designed to adorn the wrists of sophisticated men, it is as comfortable as it is stylish for any occasion. To the right sits a crown that is screwed down and protected. Positioned at 3 o'clock, it allows you to adjust the hours, minutes, and date at will. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial from shocks and scratches and is framed by a black bezel. The bezel is held in place by four exposed screws, adding extra character to the design. On the caseback, the screw-down caseback offers a stunning view of the movement through its transparent display. It provides water resistance of 10 ATM.

The Dial

With its bold character and beautifully refined lines, this round dial is the true centerpiece of this stunning creation. Elevating the watch's timeless, sophisticated appeal, it captivates with its vivid red color and brushed sunray finish, adorning your wrist with a radiant, modern touch. It is swept by two baton hands coated in Luminova, keeping you on time in both bright and low-light conditions. A slender seconds hand with a luminous arrow tip filled with Luminova completes the display, ensuring excellent legibility in the dark. All three point to a minute track running along the perimeter - marked with lines and dots, accompanied by minute graduations every 5 minutes on the grey chapter ring. This surrounds twelve hour markers presented as Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, and as baton indices for the remaining hours. A date window sits at 3 o'clock, showing black Arabic numerals on a white background. Finally, the Humbert-Droz signature is printed below 12 o'clock, while the movement type is indicated at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

At the heart of this timepiece beats an automatic movement Swiss-made by La Joux-Perret and assembled in-house at the Humbert-Droz workshops in Besançon. Specifically, it is the G100 caliber, renowned for its flawless quality and performance. Equipped with 24 jewels, this Franco-Swiss mechanism brings the hands and date window to life, ensuring reliable and precise display of hours, minutes, seconds, and date. It oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 68 hours.

The Strap

The strap on this watch is crafted from bovine leather. Adorned with tone-on-tone stitching, it features a black finish with a carbon-pattern texture that subtly enhances its timeless, refined design. This strap pairs effortlessly with any look - from casual to dressed-up - wrapping your wrist with elegance for a stylish, all-day comfortable fit. It comes with a 316L stainless steel deployant clasp for easy, secure fastening in any situation.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 100 meters - or 10 ATM in the language of watchmaking - this proud timepiece is just as at home at a gala as it is in the water. Feel free to wear it in the shower, in the bath, or while swimming (even for vigorous laps!). That said, our team of watchmaking experts wants to be clear: this model is not designed for scuba diving - whether freediving or with tanks - or for use with high-pressure cleaning equipment. Remember: shower, bath, and swimming only - and never operate the pushers or crown while submerged.
