HD11 "Prairial" Watch

The Watch

Humbert-Droz has established itself through the creation of iconic timepieces at the heart of France's watchmaking capital. Its models stand out for their bold designs and their ability to tell the time with ease. True to tradition, the HD11 "Prairial" watch impresses with its commanding presence and distinctive geometric silhouette. Its name is drawn from "the joyful fertility and meadow harvests of May through June". It is presented here with a cushion case measuring 44 mm in diameter and 13.50 mm thick, which appears even more substantial thanks to the prominent crown guard. Crafted in silver-toned 316L stainless steel with a carefully executed brushed finish, it is complemented by a bezel held in place by screws and enhanced with a black PVD treatment and radial brushing. The bezel frames a sapphire crystal offering excellent scratch resistance. The screwed, textured crown sits at 3 o'clock in carbon black and is easy to operate for setting hours, minutes, and date. The whole is completed by a transparent caseback ensuring water resistance of 10 ATM.

The Dial

The elegant dial of this watch is thoughtfully laid out for effortless readability. It showcases a beautifully crafted smoked green sunray color for a striking visual effect. The perimeter is framed by a minute track with dot markers at each hour for a harmonious overall look. The hour indices alternate between oversized baton markers and Arabic numerals, all tracked by baton hands. Paired with an arrow-tipped seconds hand, they are all treated with Luminova for clear legibility in dark conditions. Beyond its core functions, this watch features a date window at 3 o'clock - a useful, practical complication for everyday use. The whole is framed by a silver chapter ring marked with numerals from 10 to 60 in black. The brand signs its name below 12 o'clock and indicates the movement type at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This model is powered by an automatic movement from La Joux-Perret manufacture. The G100 caliber features 24 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and a power reserve of 68 hours. Reliable and precise, it delivers classic three-hand timekeeping with a date function.

The Strap

Crafted in bovine leather, the strap of this watch adds to its elegance. It features a black color and a carbon-pattern surface for a sleek, stylish look. Equipped with a deployant clasp, this strap delivers a comfortable, secure fit. It is further enhanced by stitching at 5 o'clock in the colors of the French flag.

Water Resistance

This model delivers a water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - and it's ready to prove it. This stylish timepiece is built to dive into aquatic adventures right alongside you. From puddles to the pool, it handles splashes and swims without complaint. Showers, baths, and vigorous swim sessions are no problem at all. That said, Ocarat's watchmaking experts note that this water-resistant model is not suited for diving (professional or recreational) and is sensitive to high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend not operating the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged.
