The Watch

Humbert-Droz is a French watchmaking brand founded in 1956, producing timepieces in the finest horological tradition with bold, innovative designs. The HD11 "Fructidor" watch celebrates France's republican heritage, taking its name from the "fruits that the sun gilds and ripens in August and September". It stands out for the authentic, original geometric shape of its case, crafted from brushed 316L stainless steel. Featuring a cushion shape, it measures 44 mm wide and 13,50 mm thick - dimensions perfectly suited to men's wrists. The case houses a bezel treated with black PVD and enhanced with a brushed finish, highlighted by 4 hexagonal silver screws. It surrounds a sapphire crystal offering excellent scratch protection. On the right side of the case sits the screw-down crown in carbon black with a textured appearance. Its large screw-down crown protector is a striking detail that gives the case an even more commanding presence. This winding crown allows easy adjustments of the hands and date. The caseback features a transparent display window for a captivating view of the movement, and provides water resistance to 10 ATM.

The Dial

The dial on this model is a perfect marriage of charm and elegance. Adorned in a vibrant red, it is elevated by smoked and sunray finishes that create an eye-catching contrast. Its perimeter is precisely defined by a minute railroad complemented by dot markers at every 5 minutes for easy reading. This is encircled by a white chapter ring accented with Arabic numerals and index markers for the seconds. Timekeeping is handled by alternating large baton indexes and Arabic numerals in glossy dark grey. These markers are tracked by bold hands and a slender seconds hand with an arrow tip - all treated with Luminova for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. A date window with a black background sits discreetly beside the 3 o'clock index. Finishing this refined dial, the brand signs its name below 12 o'clock as a mark of authenticity, and indicates the movement type above 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This model is powered by the G100 automatic movement from La Joux-Perret manufacture. Featuring 24 jewels, it delivers a generous power reserve of 68 hours. Fully assembled and regulated in France, it beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a stop-seconds function. With accuracy of ±14 seconds per day, it provides reliable three-hand analog display with date.

The Strap

Robust and comfortable, the strap that accompanies this watch delivers a great wearing experience. It is crafted from bovine leather in Black Carbon-Stamped and features a deployment clasp. The strap is beautifully accented with stitching in the French national colors at the 5 o'clock lug for an added touch of style.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance to 10 atmospheres - that's 100 meters. Yes, this is a truly water-resistant watch! Ready to make a splash with you in any aquatic setting, it handles everything from puddles to the pool without missing a beat. Showers, baths, and lap swimming are all no problem. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want you to know that while this model is water-resistant, it is not designed for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning devices. We also recommend keeping the crown and pushers dry during immersion.
