ELKA is a young watch brand founded in 2021 by Hakim El Kadiri - a creative mind with a brilliant 23-year career within a major watchmaking group. Its round case in 316L stainless steel measures 40.80 mm in diameter, 46.50 mm in length, and 10.80 mm thick - perfectly sized for a comfortable, all-day wear. It features a brushed finish with polished lines for a modern edge. The crown at 3 o'clock lets you adjust the hands and date window at any time. A scratch-resistant domed Chevé-Box sapphire crystal covers the dial, offering superior resistance to everyday shocks and scratches, while its anti-reflective coating ensures a clean, glare-free read from any angle. At the back, the screwed case back provides a water resistance of 3 ATM.

The Dial

Balancing restraint and elegance, a stunning round dial sits gracefully within the case, deepening the watch's charm. Its intense black background features a sunray finish with brushed lines that add depth and a refined brilliance. Beyond the analog display, a date complication is delivered via a black-background date window at 3 o'clock. At the center, two baton hands sweep smoothly to show the hours and minutes, joined by a slender seconds hand. All three are grey, pointing to applied grey baton indices around the dial - marked "Swiss Made" - helping you read the time at a glance. The indices take a double form at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock for a visually elegant, symmetrical effect. Elka signs its creation just below 12 o'clock with its name, alongside the movement type.

The Movement

Equipped with a stop-seconds function, this model is powered by the G100 caliber with 24 jewels, ensuring smooth, reliable operation of both the hands and date window. This automatic movement, developed by Swiss manufacturer La Joux-Perret, combines outstanding performance, unwavering accuracy, and refined beauty. It beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph and offers a 68-hour power reserve - so hours, minutes, seconds, and date are always precise and dependable.

The Strap

Elka offers this watch with three strap options to suit every style. All share a 20 mm lug width and are equally refined and modern in their own right.

The first strap is crafted in black calfskin leather with a semi-gloss finish that gives it a polished, refined look. Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 3 atmospheres - equivalent to 30 meters - this watch is not built for underwater adventures. You can keep it on to wash your hands or tackle light household tasks involving water, but the Ocarat team strongly recommends leaving it on the nightstand before hopping in the shower or bath, and locking it in the hotel safe before diving into the pool or the turquoise sea at your vacation spot.
