The Watch

Founded in 2021 by Hakim El Kadiri - a creative visionary with deep roots in prestigious watchmaking houses - young Swiss brand ELKA offers watch enthusiasts and fans of the Sixties a range of dazzling timepieces that are at once classic, contemporary, and on-trend. Through its D Series collection, the brand revives the clean aesthetics of the 1960s with a modern edge - delivering retro-classic models with timeless design and refined craftsmanship, including this captivating D06 Watch. Its round case is crafted in 316l stainless steel and measures 40.80 mm in diameter and 10.80 mm in thickness with a lug-to-lug length of 46.50 mm. Comfortable to wear and built to last, it pairs daily wear with understated charm. It features a polished/brushed finish that elegantly highlights the watch's appeal. A Chevé-Box sapphire crystal shields the dial from shocks that could mar its appearance, while its anti-reflective treatment ensures easy legibility. The knurled crown at 3 o'clock handles manual setting of the hours, minutes, and date. Finally, the screwed-in case back provides the watch with water resistance of 3 bar.

The Dial

This delicate round dial amplifies the timeless elegance of the watch with a dynamic, subtle touch. Finished with a sunray effect, its brushed background is draped in a vibrant, charming baby pink color that contrasts beautifully with the gray markers for a stunning result on the wrist. At its heart, two gray baton hands glide smoothly to indicate the hours and minutes, accompanied by a slender gray seconds hand. Marked "Swiss Made", the bezel houses twelve applied gray baton indices that double up at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock for refined symmetry. Against a white background, a date window at 3 o'clock displays the date in black Arabic numerals. Finally, Elka signs the dial below 12 with its name and the movement type.

The Movement

A Swiss-made automatic movement brings this timepiece to life. Specifically, it's the G100 caliber - a high-quality, flawlessly performing mechanism supplied by La Joux-Perret and fitted with 24 jewels. With a power reserve of 68 hours, it beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour - that's 4 Hz - ensuring the smooth operation of the hands and date window. Equipped with a stop-seconds function, it delivers reliable, precise display of hours, minutes, seconds, and the date.

The Strap

Choose from three different straps, each as refined and elegant as the next - every one giving the watch its own distinct character. Note that the lug width is 20 mm.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 30 meters - or 3 atmospheres in watchmaking terms - this watch is decidedly not a water lover. Water is the worst enemy of its delicate mechanism, and our team strongly recommends keeping it dry. You can wear it in the rain or while doing the dishes, but don't take it in the shower, the bath, the pool, or anywhere near the ocean floor - it clearly prefers staying dry!
