The Watch

Nivada Grenchen was founded in Grenchen, a Swiss city renowned for its watchmaking expertise. From the Chronosport collection comes an eye-catching watch inspired by the 1970s yet reimagined for the modern man. The case is crafted from 316L stainless steel with a combination of brushed and polished finishes for added refinement. Round in shape, it measures 38 mm in diameter, 12.70 mm thick, and 44.30 mm lug-to-lug - proportions that sit perfectly on a man's wrist. The silver-toned case is fitted with a black unidirectional bezel graduated from 0 to 60, along with a SuperLuminova marker that glows in the dark. A domed sapphire crystal tops the case, shielding the dial from scratches and everyday impacts. Thanks to its vintage aesthetic, this timepiece pairs effortlessly with both smart and classic outfits. At 2, 3, and 4 o'clock, a engraved crown and two pushers allow easy adjustment of the various functions. With water resistance up to 20 ATM via its screw-down case back, this watch is a perfect match for marine activity enthusiasts.

The Dial

The dial on this model is black, enhancing its elegance and making the indicators easy to read. It features a matte, textured finish that adds to its visual appeal. The dial perimeter is adorned with a tachymeter scale and a minute track for precise reading. At center, two hands indicate the hours and minutes. These, along with the white indices they sweep past, are coated with SuperLuminova for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. The seconds hand handles the chronograph seconds. At 3, 9, and 12 o'clock, two subdials display the small seconds and 30-minute counter respectively. Finally, a date window sits at 3 o'clock, while the brand name appears just below the 12 o'clock subdial.

The Movement

This watch is powered by a Swiss automatic movement - specifically the ETA 7750 Valjoux caliber, which drives the hands, date window, and subdials with precision. Fitted with 25 jewels, this movement delivers a 48-hour power reserve and beats at an oscillation frequency of 28,800 vph.

The Strap

This watch comes with three strap options, selectable from the dropdown menu. Please note that the lug width is 20mm.

The first is a bovine leather strap in black. Featuring black stitching and perforations, it is supple and comfortable to wear all day long.

The second is a black rubber strap in a sport style. Comfortable to wear all day long, it keeps the watch securely in place thanks to its 316L stainless steel pin buckle.

The third option is a flat link bracelet crafted from 316L stainless steel. Its brushed and polished finish elevates the look of any outfit, while the deployant clasp ensures comfortable, secure wear throughout the day.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance to 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. A serious dive-ready timepiece built for deep-water adventures! Designed for freediving, it also handles high-pressure washers without breaking a sweat. Showering, bathing, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. That said, for scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Always remember: never operate the crown while the watch is submerged.
