Nivada Grenchen, a Swiss family-owned company founded in 1926 in Granges, unveils its incredible models with vintage-inspired designs. Relatively under the radar in its early decades, it would go on to become one of the first brands to manufacture automatic watches.

Nivada Grenchen's golden age came in the postwar decades, when its timepieces became bestsellers on the global watchmaking market. In the 1960s, the brand created the Antarctic - a waterproof automatic watch that accompanied the Deep Freeze 1 polar expedition organized by the U.S. Navy in 1955 to explore the South Pole, cementing the brand's success. In 1964, the Depthomatic was born, followed by the Depthomaster - the first dive watches to feature a depth indicator and then a water resistance of 100 ATM. Nivada Grenchen would nonetheless suffer through the quartz crisis and fade from the scene, only to rise from the ashes many years later under the leadership of Guillaume Laidet and Rémi Chabart.

Nivada Grenchen's flagship models are primarily the Nivada Grenchen Antarctic, the Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver, and the Nivada Grenchen Depthmaster. Since its revival in 2018, Nivada Grenchen's goal has been to honor its original designs while updating them for today's tastes - adding select modern technologies while keeping prices accessible. To maintain the brand's exclusivity and reasonable pricing, distribution is limited to the brand's own website and a carefully selected handful of authorized retailers.
