The Watch

Present in the watchmaking industry since 1926, Nivada Grenchen continuously pushes the boundaries of horology, offering finely crafted timepieces built to accompany you on every adventure. Discover their impressive design and expertise through this Super Antarctic 3.6.9 Tropical model. A reissue of the vintage original, it presents a round case in 316L stainless steel with a 38 mm diameter and a 12 mm thickness. With a lug-to-lug distance of 45 mm, the surface is fitted with a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating that protects the dial from everyday shocks and ensures optimal legibility. On the right side, a lovely gray screw-down crown is positioned for setting the hands. This timepiece offers 10 ATM water resistance, secured by a screw-down case back adorned with a gold-colored medallion featuring an applied illustration.

The Dial

This remarkably refined matte dial offers a pleasant and charming time display. It features three central hands, including two dauphine-style hands for hours and minutes, and a slender seconds hand. These are surrounded by baton-shaped indices and Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. Aside from the seconds hand, all indicators are coated with a Super 7403C luminous treatment, allowing you to read the time even in low-light conditions. Along the bezel, a white minute track is displayed to indicate the minutes. Near 6 o'clock, the collection name and ruby count are noted, while at the opposite end, just below the inverted triangle 12 o'clock index, the brand places its name and movement type in white. Set against a stunning tropical tone, this aged-effect dial lends an elegant character to the watch.

The Movement

This exceptional timepiece is powered by a mechanical movement with automatic winding. Of Swiss origin, it relies more precisely on the Soprod P024 caliber, delivering undeniable reliability and precision at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). This analog watch offers a power reserve of 38 hours and features 25 jewels to minimize friction.

The first bracelet is made from textured leather with a perforated effect. It is lined with beautiful contrast stitching that will fabulously elevate your look. Its brown tone and 20 mm width add a classy touch to any outfit for any occasion. Thanks to its tang buckle clasp - 16 mm wide and crafted in polished steel - it's easy to wear and adjust.

The second bracelet is crafted in stainless steel and made up of multiple interlocking links. It will elegantly grace your wrist with its 20 mm width, adding a refined silver-toned accent to your accessories. It features a deployant clasp for effortless wear.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. We're talking a seriously water-resistant watch! Ready to take the plunge with you, this charmer handles everything from puddles to the pool without missing a beat. Showers, baths, and lap swimming? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want you to know that while this model is water-resistant, it is not suitable for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend not operating the crown or push buttons while submerged.
