Humbert-Droz is a young French watchmaker founded in 2016. The brand crafts timepieces with a unique design, assembled in France with passion and expertise. This diver from the HD9 collection delivers both performance and style - a perfect choice for water sports enthusiasts. Inspired by the Arctic, it is part of a five-piece collection paying tribute to the world's oceans. The watch features a round 316L stainless steel case with a brushed finish, measuring 45 mm in diameter, 13 mm thick, and 50 mm lug-to-lug. These dimensions are ideally suited to men's wrists. It is fitted with a unidirectional 120-click bezel displaying a minute track and a luminescent marker - an essential tool for tracking dive time. The bezel frames a flat sapphire crystal that shields the dial from impacts and scratches. The signed screw-down crown at 3 o'clock provides access to all functions. A screwed and transparent caseback offers a stunning view of the movement while ensuring a water resistance of 20 ATM.
Round in shape, this dial features a black background that keeps all time indicators perfectly legible. Its perimeter is lined with a white-graduated minute track. It is complemented by round and rectangular indexes at 12 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock. These, along with the hands set at the center of the dial, are coated with a Superluminova treatment that ensures excellent readability even in the dark. The hands sweep to display the hours, minutes, and seconds. The date is shown through a date window at 3 o'clock, topped by a cyclops lens for enhanced clarity. Humbert-Droz signs its creation near 12 o'clock and prints the movement and water resistance information at 6 o'clock.
This model is powered by a La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement assembled in-house. Fitted with 24 jewels and beating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), it efficiently drives all central functions and delivers an impressive 68-hour power reserve.
This timepiece comes with two straps that you can swap to match your style. They measure 28 mm wide at the lugs and 20 mm at the case.
The first strap is crafted from 316L stainless steel and features multiple rows of brushed and polished links. It adds a refined touch to any look while enhancing the model's inherent charm. It fastens with a deployant clasp in silver.
The second strap is made from black rubber. Comfortable to wear, it is stitched with tonal black topstitching that refines its look. It fastens with a grey pin buckle to keep it securely on your wrist.
With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, equivalent to 200 meters, this model can confidently be called a dive watch. Our watchmaking experts agree that while this timepiece handles showers, baths, lap swimming, freediving, and recreational scuba with ease, it is not designed for extreme deep-sea diving where pressure would compromise its water resistance. For professional divers tackling serious depths, we recommend models rated at 30 atmospheres or more. We also strongly advise against operating pushers or the crown while submerged, to maintain a perfect seal!
