The Watch

Davosa is a Swiss watchmaking brand whose origins date back to 1883. The brand crafts top-quality timepieces built to the highest standards. To this day, it continues to deliver breathtaking contemporary designs powered by cutting-edge technology. Celebrating the 120th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight attempt, the brand introduces its new Newton Pilot Automatic collection, of which this green version is a proud member. It combines all the essential hallmarks of classic pilot watch design. It comes in a round case meticulously finished with clean lines and perfect angles, highlighted by a satin finish. Crafted in stainless steel, it measures 40 mm in diameter, 11.6 mm in thickness, and 49 mm in lug-to-lug length - ideal proportions for a comfortable, confident wear on men's wrists. A domed sapphire crystal sits atop the case, providing excellent dial protection. Its anti-reflective and anti-scratch treatments minimize glare for optimal legibility. On the right side, a conical crown at 3 o'clock features grooves designed for easy manipulation with gloved hands, used for setting the hours and minutes. The screw-down caseback is finished with a clean circular brushing and features a transparent exhibition window to admire the movement's decoration. This caseback ensures a water resistance of 7 ATM.

The Dial

The round dial of this watch is a perfect expression of minimalist beauty, refined aesthetics, and advanced functionality. It features a green base with a sunray finish whose radiance lends a touch of sophistication and subtle elegance. The dial is carefully framed by a minute track alternating with small luminescent squares. These accompany baton indexes at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and Arabic numeral indexes elsewhere, while 12 o'clock is marked by a triangle index. The hour and minute hands are diamond-shaped with a satin surface, underscoring the attention to detail. The slim seconds hand is decorated with an aviator motif at its tip. All markers and hands are filled with SuperLuminova BG W9, which emits a blue glow in the dark for clear legibility. The brand's logo is printed below 12 o'clock, followed by its name. The collection name, movement type, and country of manufacture are indicated near 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This model is powered by the DAV 3021 automatic movement. It is an in-house Swiss caliber developed by Davosa on the base of the Sellita SW200-1. It features 26 jewels and operates at an oscillation frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz). This movement offers a power reserve of 40 hours, ensuring reliable and smooth hand motion.

The Strap

This watch comes with one of the two straps shown below. Both feature a lug width of 20 mm.

The first strap boasts impressive build quality. Crafted in stainless steel, it is composed of 5 rows of links with a satin finish that matches the case. It is secured by a deployant clasp with push-buttons for a stable, secure, and comfortable fit around the wrist.

The second strap is made of calfskin leather in green. It features a smooth texture with hand-stitched white stitching that adds a touch of extra elegance. It fastens with a pin buckle in stainless steel stamped with the brand's logo.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 7 atmospheres, equivalent to 70 meters, this watch is your first step into the world of water resistance. While it's not designed for bathing, swimming laps, or diving, you can rest easy if you forget to take it off in the shower. That said, our experts recommend keeping this timepiece dry whenever possible to protect its movement for years to come.
