The Watch

Swiss watchmaker Davosa draws on traditional craftsmanship to deliver stunning collections with exceptional finishing, premium materials, and quality movements. To mark the 120th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight attempt, Davosa unveils its latest collection: the Newton Pilot Automatic. This line impresses with its timeless, classic design crafted for aviation enthusiasts. This black version watch makes a bold yet classic statement with its round stainless steel case. Measuring 40 mm in diameter, 11.60 mm thick, and 49 mm in length, this men's model is built to be worn every day, everywhere. The satin-brushed finish gives the whole watch a sporty, polished look. On top sits a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal that perfectly protects the dial. Its anti-reflective treatment ensures optimal legibility in any lighting. On the right side of the case, a conical crown at 3 o'clock features knurling for easy handling during hand-setting, even with gloves on. It bears the brand logo in relief on a subtly matte surface. Finally, the caseback features a transparent display window through which you can admire the beautifully finished movement. The caseback is screw-down and ensures water resistance to 7 ATM.

The Dial

This watch houses a clean, elegant, and classic round dial pared back to the essentials. It features a black sunray base that delivers a beautiful aesthetic. Highly functional, it carries large Arabic numeral indices for quick and easy time reading, alternated with baton indices at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock and a triangle index at 12 o'clock. The hour and minute hands are diamond-shaped and coated - like the markers - with SuperLuminova BGW9 luminescent material for bright, even glow and great legibility in the dark. The seconds hand features a tip shaped like a small airplane. All of these elements are encircled by a minute track with small squares every 5 minutes, which are also luminescent. Finally, the brand places its logo and name below 12 o'clock, while the collection name and movement type are noted above 6 o'clock.

The Movement

Inside this timepiece beats an automatic movement - specifically the in-house DAV 3021 caliber. This Swiss mechanism is based on the Sellita SW200-1, runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and delivers a 40-hour power reserve. Built to elaborate quality standards, it guarantees accuracy of +7 to -7 seconds per day. With 26 jewels, it promises precise and reliable display of hours, minutes, and seconds.

The Strap

This model comes with two straps, each with a 20 mm lug width. Choose your preferred option using the dropdown menu.

The first option is a five-row stainless steel bracelet. Its silver tone and satin finish perfectly complement the case. It fastens with a push-button deployment clasp for added stability and security.

The second strap is crafted from smooth, comfortable full-grain cowhide leather in black. White hand-stitched seams add a refined, distinguished touch. This strap fastens with a stainless steel pin buckle.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 70 meters, or 7 ATM, this is a timepiece that can handle the occasional encounter with water - but doesn't love prolonged exposure. You can wear it in the shower from time to time, but to preserve the quality and precision of the movement, our watch specialists strongly advise keeping it away from the H₂O molecules found in baths, pools, or the sea. In short: no swimming, no diving, and no extended water contact.
