Sinn U1 Silicone Diving Watch

With the SINN U 1, SINN's engineers have succeeded in developing a dive watch whose material quality and construction deliver outstanding resistance to external influences in the most demanding conditions.

The Watch In the pursuit of a steel capable of withstanding extreme conditions, SINN's engineers - working in partnership with the manufacturers of German submarines - developed a process to produce small quantities of the very same steel used in those submarines. This steel is not only extraordinarily corrosion-resistant, but also achieves the highest antimagnetic rating with absolutely no residual magnetism.

Topped by a flat sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, the round submarine steel case measures 44 mm in diameter, 14.3 mm thick, and weighs 113 grams. The black dial features luminescent white hands and indexes, an orange seconds hand, and a date window at 3 o'clock. The screw-down crown is positioned at 4 o'clock.

The case is fitted with a unidirectional rotating bezel offering a visual countdown function. To prevent accidental rotation, the bezel is secured to the case so it cannot be lost. The steel bezel has undergone TEGIMENT anti-impact treatment - a surface-hardening technology that provides highly effective protection against scratches on stainless steel.

This watch features a silicone strap with a deployant clasp, ideal for scuba diving. This timepiece is water-resistant to 100 atmospheres, equivalent to 1,000 meters. Built for serious water sports - including deep-sea diving - its water resistance has been tested and certified by Germanischer Lloyd, the German naval classification and international technical inspection authority.

The Movement This watch houses a Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. This 26-jewel caliber displays hours, minutes, seconds, and the date. It features a Stop-Seconds mechanism for precise time-setting to the second. The movement beats at 28,800 vph with a 38-hour power reserve.
