With the SINN U 1, SINN engineers have successfully developed a dive watch whose material quality and construction deliver outstanding resistance to external forces in the most extreme conditions.

The Watch
In search of a steel that could withstand extreme conditions, SINN engineers - working alongside the manufacturers of German submarines - developed a process to produce small quantities of the very same steel used in German submarine hulls. This steel is not only extraordinarily corrosion-resistant, but also delivers the highest antimagnetic performance with absolutely no residual magnetism.

Topped with a flat sapphire crystal featuring double anti-reflective coating, the round submarine-steel case measures 44 mm in diameter, 14.3 mm thick, and weighs 113 grams. The black dial features luminescent white hands and indices, an orange seconds hand, and a date window at 3 o'clock. The screw-down crown is positioned at 4 o'clock.

The case features a unidirectional rotating bezel for a visual countdown function. To prevent accidental rotation, the bezel is secured to the case in such a way that it cannot be lost. The steel bezel has been treated with TEGIMENT anti-impact technology - a surface-hardening process that provides highly effective protection for the stainless steel against scratches.

This watch comes fitted with a silicone strap and a deployment clasp - purpose-built for diving. Looking for a watch that can keep up on deep-water dives? This is the one. It is engineered for a water resistance of 100 atmospheres, equivalent to 1,000 meters. That resistance has been tested and certified by Germanischer Lloyd, the international naval classification and technical assurance organization.

The Movement
This watch is powered by a Swiss automatic Sellita SW200-1 movement. This 26-jewel caliber displays hours, minutes, seconds, and the date. It features a hacking seconds mechanism for precise time-setting to the second. The movement beats at 28,800 vph with a power reserve of 38 hours.
