The Watch

Edox is a Swiss watchmaking brand founded in Biel in 1884 by Christian Rüefli Flury, a master watchmaker inspired by his beloved Pauline. This model features a round case crafted from titanium - a material that is stronger, lighter, and more corrosion-resistant than steel. Silver-toned and polished, it measures 45 mm in diameter with a thickness of 15 mm, and is topped with a sapphire crystal that shields the dial from accidental impacts. On its right side, a grooved gray crown offers an easy, confident grip alongside two pushers - one oversized green and one silver-toned - which together control the various central functions. This watch features an engraved, screw-down caseback ensuring a water resistance of 10 ATM, and weighs 118 g.

The Dial

This dial is crafted with meticulous care for reliable everyday readability. Inspired by racing car dashboards, it is framed by a bezel integrating a tachymeter scale outlined by a thin green circle. A minute track runs along the blue dial, with Arabic numerals marking the hours at 4, 5, 7, and 8 o'clock. These various markers are swept by three central hands for accurate reading. The slender green seconds hand tracks the seconds as well as those of the chronograph function, while the large and short hands indicate minutes and hours respectively. Finished in gray, these two hands feature a Super-Luminova treatment ensuring enhanced readability in the dark, just like the hour indices. Two sub-dials enrich the dial at 3 and 9 o'clock, displaying 1/10th of a second and 30 minutes of the chronograph function respectively. They are complemented by a large retrograde counter showing the days of the week in English, and below it, the water resistance rating is indicated alongside the collection name. At 6 o'clock, a large date window is integrated, while the Swiss Made inscription underscores the model's authenticity. Finally, the brand places its hourglass logo and name just below 12 o'clock as its signature.

The Movement

This watch is powered by an in-house quartz movement - the Edox caliber 38s based on the Ronda 8020 N - driving the hands and all functions with precision. This Swiss mechanism is exceptionally reliable and delivers enhanced resistance to vibrations.
