Auricoste Watches

Ocarat is proud to present the Auricoste watch brand. Founded in 1854 by Émile Thomas - a watchmaker and marine chronometer specialist - the house was taken over by Joseph Auricoste in 1889.

The brand took on its new owner's name and went on to expand significantly after World War II. Joseph Auricoste's son, Pierre, entered into a collaboration with Patek Philippe, and together they carried out the first installation of a time network across the warships of the French Navy.

In the 1950s, the French Ministry of War required that chronographs used by military units feature a Flyback function. Auricoste watches rose to the challenge, showcasing these required functions alongside a design inspired by the French Navy.

The brand developed two flagship products: the Type 20 and the Type 52 - guaranteed to win over lovers of watchmaking and military mechanisms alike.
