Type 26 Aéronavale DLC Watch

The Watch
Auricoste is proud to introduce its latest creation: the Type 26 Aéronavale. True to the original design of the cockpit instruments supplied to the French Air Force by Auricoste, this watch was developed following the exact same specifications as those legendary dials. The result is a timepiece engineered for outstanding legibility and rock-solid reliability, even in extreme conditions or hostile environments. The case is crafted from 316L stainless steel - a grade renowned for its durability and hypoallergenic properties, widely used in surgical applications. The 40mm case features a black DLC coating for a bold military-sport aesthetic. The unidirectional rotating bezel, also in black, is graduated from 00 to 55 (covering 60 minutes), allowing precise elapsed-time tracking. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal sits above the dial, while the solid screw-down caseback is engraved with a navigation bar - a nod to the brand's deep maritime roots. True to Auricoste's signature style, the crown is positioned at 4 o'clock, nestled flush against the case.

The Dial
This model features a round black dial - just like the originals, legibility is everything. Two bold white hands stand out against the dark background, while the seconds hand is black with a white fighter jet-shaped tip, reinforcing the naval aviation spirit. Hours are marked with Arabic numerals and white baton indices, and a white railway-style minute track runs along the dial's perimeter. All white elements are treated with SuperLuminova, ensuring maximum readability in the dark after exposure to light - night legibility is just as sharp as daytime. The brand name appears at 12 o'clock, and the watch name at 6 o'clock.

The Movement
At the heart of the case beats a Swiss-made automatic movement. The ETA 2824-2 caliber delivers an oscillation frequency of 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 38 hours. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, and date.

The Strap
This watch comes fitted on a black Cordura strap with a leather lining. Cordura is an exceptionally tough textile, prized for its tear and abrasion resistance - making it the perfect companion for any adventure. The lug width is 20mm, and it fastens with a black DLC-treated pin buckle.

Water Resistance
This model offers water resistance up to 30 atmospheres - that's 300 meters deep. Whether you're splashing around in the pool with the kids or diving seriously with tanks, this watch has you covered.
