The Watch
The case of this manufacture timepiece from independent French watchmaker Pequignet is crafted in polished 316L stainless steel - a material prized for its durability and hypoallergenic properties. The case measures 42mm in diameter and features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal on the front as well as a sapphire caseback, offering a clear view of the movement. The caseback is secured by 6 steel screws, while the crown at 3 o'clock includes a pusher for the GMT function. An innovative design that will captivate lovers of classic yet distinctive timepieces.
The Dial
Radiating an opaline silver finish, this dial is a masterclass in technical sophistication and originality. The hour and minute hands are silver-toned and feature a Luminova coating for optimal legibility. The hours are marked by baton indices complemented by a minute track running along the dial's perimeter. The watchmaker's name is displayed at 12 o'clock, below which a double date window shows both the day of the week and the date. At 4 o'clock, the small seconds counter incorporates the GMT function via a red arrow. At 6 o'clock, the day/night indicator is indexed alongside the central hands. At 8 o'clock, the power reserve indicator completes the display. At 6 o'clock, the iconic "Made in France" signature proudly appears.
The Movement
The movement housed in this manufacture timepiece is a fully in-house automatic caliber - designed, prototyped, regulated, and assembled at the Pequignet Haute Horlogerie laboratory in Morteau, in the heart of the French watchmaking Jura. This Royal caliber comprises 298 components and offers a large date, day, and power reserve indicator. The calculated power reserve stands at 88 hours as displayed on the dial, with 72 hours guaranteed in isochronism. Operating at 21,600 vph (3 Hz), this movement features bidirectional automatic winding and delivers hours, minutes, small seconds, day, date, day/night indicator, and power reserve indicator.
The Strap
The strap on this model is a large-scale brown alligator leather bracelet, delivering an elegant, timeless look. It fastens with a pin buckle featuring a raised "Fleur de Lys" logo clasp.
Water Resistance
This watch has been tested and rated at 10 atmospheres, equivalent to 100 meters of depth. It can be worn while swimming but is not suitable for scuba diving.
