The Watch

Since its revival a few years ago, Nivada Grenchen has worked tirelessly to reissue some of its most celebrated vintage references. Blending historic design elements with modern materials and movements, the new Nivada models pay genuine tribute to vintage style. The house presents this Super Antarctic 32024A, part of the iconic lineage that built the brand's legend. The round case is crafted in 316L stainless steel, measuring 38 mm in diameter and 12 mm thick. This fine watchmaking jewelry piece is built to endure alongside active men. With a brushed finish and polished accents, this timepiece radiates quiet refinement. A double domed sapphire crystal covers the case, delivering exceptional scratch resistance. Hand-setting is handled as expected via the crown at 3 o'clock. Finally, the caseback of this watchmaking jewelry piece ensures water resistance up to 10 ATM.

The Dial

Like stars scattered across the sky, the elements of this dial both captivate and intrigue. Against a matte black dial, geometric indices radiate in a striking cream tone. Built for exploration - as sporty as it is rugged - this watch features twelve indices coated in Super-LumiNova for full legibility in the dark. The same applies to the two main hands. They also make a visual statement: a Breguet-style hand for the hours and a sword-shaped hand for the minutes, complemented by a slender seconds hand. These three constantly moving hands tell the hours, minutes, and seconds at a glance. Finally, the brand signs its creation with its name and movement details at 12 o'clock, and its collection name at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

The hands of this watch come to life through the Swiss automatic movement beating at its heart. Developed by Swiss manufacturer Soprod, caliber P024 features 25 jewels and runs at a frequency of 28,800 vph, delivering a power reserve of up to 38 hours. This mechanism ensures the smooth, fluid motion of all three hands.

The Strap

This watch can be delivered on a vintage calfskin leather strap in brown or black, or on a black tropic rubber strap. The lug width is 20mm, and all three straps feature a stainless steel pin buckle.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance to 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. This is a truly water-resistant timepiece - ready to join you wherever water takes you. From puddles to the pool, this watch handles immersion without complaint. Shower, bath, and lap swimming are all fair game. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts note that this model, while water-resistant, is not suited for diving (professional or recreational) and is sensitive to high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and pushers out of operation while submerged.
