Over four generations, the watchmaking brand Humbert-Droz has carved out a distinguished place in the world of horology. It crafts watches that ingeniously combine precision, quality, and elegance. The manufacture expands its collections with the new HD7 series. This lineup features sporty models ready to accompany you on every adventure. The limited-edition watch presented here - restricted to 150 pieces - sports a cushion case in 316L stainless steel with a diameter of 47 mm and a thickness of 15.30 mm. PVD-treated with a brushed finish, its surface is secured by 4 screws that enhance its distinctive character. The watch's various functions are controlled by two pushers and an oversized crown positioned on the right side of the case. The dial is protected by a mineral crystal. Finally, the screwed caseback features a transparent aperture, offering a view of the movement's inner workings while ensuring water resistance of 5 ATM.
Combining functionality and design, the dial of this HD7 watch features a tachymeter scale on its bezel - the model's signature complication - allowing you to measure travel speeds. The dial's perimeter is framed by a precise white minute track interspersed with luminescent baton hour markers. The hour and minute hands are baton-shaped, crafted in polished steel with a white insert for improved readability in low-light conditions. A striking and eye-catching red tone colors the seconds hand and the hands of the 3 sub-dials. Providing the chronograph function, they display 30 minutes, 12 hours, and small seconds. For added precision, a white-background aperture positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock indicates the date. As a finishing signature, the brand places its name and the movement reference below 12 o'clock.
Humbert-Droz selected one of the most high-performing movements to power this HD7's analog display. Equipped with 27 jewels and beating at 28,800 bph, this is a Swiss-made ETA 7753 automatic movement that also delivers tachymeter, chronograph, and date functions. Its power reserve is 48 hours.
This timepiece features a Cordura-effect calfskin leather strap. Black in color and accented with white contrast stitching, it fastens with a steel deployant clasp. A removal tool is included in the box to make strap changes easy whenever you choose. The lug width is 24 mm.
This model offers water resistance of 5 atmospheres, or 50 m. It is designed to be strikingly beautiful and shine in any social setting. Yet this refined appearance in no way compromises its ability to withstand the elements. You can wear it in the shower, though the Ocarat team recommends leaving it gently on the edge of the sink to preserve its brilliance and integrity longer. For swimming and scuba diving, we strongly advise against wearing this watch in the water, as doing so may damage it and result in repair costs.
