Steel Watch HD7 "Pulsometer"

The Watch

For four generations, the Humbert-Droz family - passionate about watchmaking - has championed French elegance and upheld family tradition, first through their Réparalux workshop founded in 1956, and then in 2016 with the launch of their eponymous brand and debut watch collection. They craft timeless, on-trend timepieces defined by sophisticated design and innovative craftsmanship. Ocarat is proud to present their new HD7 model, the "Pulsometer" watch in a limited edition of 150 pieces. Modern and refined, it will elevate your wrist day and night, adding an exquisite touch of understated elegance to every outfit. Its case is crafted in black PVD 316L stainless steel and takes on the subtle cushion shape inspired by the HD1 watch design. Built for the elegant man, it measures 47 mm in diameter and 15.30 mm thick. On the right side, it houses a carbon-colored screw-down crown and two pushers for manually adjusting the timepiece's various functions. Its surface, secured by four visible screws, frames a mineral crystal. Numbered from 01 to 150, the screwed, transparent caseback ensures 5 ATM water resistance while offering an appealing view of the movement's inner workings.

The Dial

At the heart of the case sits a stunning round dial that amplifies the watch's understated elegance with a striking modern touch. It features a black background with a carbon-pattern finish that, in perfect harmony with the strap, brings style and refinement to your wrist. It is swept by two baton hands in polished steel and a slender red hand, all animated with smooth fluidity to accurately display hours, minutes, and chronograph seconds. The perimeter houses a finely graduated minute track marked in 1/5 increments with white lines. The hours are indicated by twelve baton-shaped markers in a brilliant grey tone. These, along with the hour and minute hands, feature a luminescent coating for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions. Between 2 and 10 o'clock, you'll find a white-background date aperture and three sub-dials. Each equipped with a red hand, they provide 30-minute, 12-hour, and small seconds functions. Additionally, the dial bezel features a pulsometer scale calibrated to 30 pulsations to help you measure your heart rate. As a finishing signature, the brand places its name and movement type at 12 o'clock, with the mention "Assembled in France" at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This watch is powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement, celebrated for its efficiency and outstanding performance. Supplied by ETA, the caliber 7753 drives the hands and the two complications - date and chronograph - with precision. With a 48-hour power reserve, it beats at 28,800 alternations/hour and is fitted with 27 jewels, delivering accurate, reliable displays of hours, minutes, seconds, date, and all chronograph indications in every situation.

The Strap

Comfortable to wear, a Cordura-effect calfskin leather strap wraps around the case on both sides, lending a delicate and sophisticated note to the watch as a whole. Finished in black with white contrast stitching for a modern edge, it pairs equally well with casual and dressed-up looks, adding refinement and elegance to your wrist with reliable comfort and durability. It fastens easily with a black steel deployant clasp. The lug width is 24 mm, and a strap-change tool is included so you can swap straps whenever you like.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 50 meters - or 5 ATM in watchmaking parlance - this is a timepiece that can handle a splash but prefers to stay dry. You can get away with wearing it in the shower occasionally, but to preserve the quality and precision of the movement, our team of watch specialists strongly advises keeping it well away from bathwater, pool water, and the sea. In short: no swimming, no diving, and no prolonged water contact or immersion.
