Drawing on generations of Swiss watchmaking expertise, Vulcain crafts timepieces that are as rich as they are varied. Built to push boundaries, each model stands out for its performance, respect for horological tradition, distinctive design, and uncompromising excellence. Inspired by a vintage reference, the Skindiver Brown 660170A47 has been brought into the modern era with cutting-edge technology for an even better wearing experience. It wears a round case in 316L stainless steel with precise, refined lines and beautiful alternating brushed and polished finishes that enhance its overall aesthetic. At 38 mm in diameter and 12.20 mm thick, the case sits elegantly on any wrist with a genuine vintage flair. Above the middle case sits the knurled, rotating bezel fitted with a black ceramic insert marked by a minute track and a luminescent marker. A domed sapphire crystal adds depth to the whole while shielding the dial from scratches. Hand-setting is handled by the knurled crown at 3 o'clock, while the screwed case back with engraved decoration guarantees water resistance of 20 ATM.
The matte brown dial on this watch features a clean, well-balanced design. It is framed by a classic minute track with long bars, paired with geometric indices of a well-proportioned size. These markers are treated with white Luminova to ensure clear legibility in low-light conditions. The hour and minute hands are straight baton-style in silver, also partially filled with luminescence, and paired with a slim traditional silver seconds hand for a carefully balanced dial composition. Text is printed in white, with the brand name and collection below 12 o'clock, and "Incabloc" and "25 Jewels" above 6 o'clock.
This model is driven by a reliable, proven, and easy-to-service automatic movement that keeps excellent time. The ETA 2824-2 H3 (V66) caliber features 25 jewels and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, delivering a power reserve of 38 hours. A high performer, it offers a classic three-hand analog display.
This watch comes with a choice of two straps to suit your style. Both feature a pin buckle and measure 20 mm at the lug and 16 mm at the buckle.
The first strap is crafted in black rubber, delivering a noticeably comfortable fit on the wrist. Of the Tropic type, its perforated design lets the skin breathe while remaining supple and easy to handle.
The second strap is a striking option crafted in bovine leather with a carbon-effect print and contrast stitching that give it a bold, modern edge. Elegant yet undeniably comfortable to wear.
With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, equivalent to 200 meters, this model truly earns the title of dive watch. Our watchmaking experts agree: while it's more than capable of handling showers, baths, competitive swimming, freediving, and recreational scuba, it is not designed for extreme deep-sea diving where pressure would eventually compromise its water resistance. For professional divers looking to push depth limits, we recommend exploring models rated at 30 atmospheres or more. We also advise against operating the pushers or crown while underwater to maintain a perfect seal.
