The Watch

Founded in 1926, Nivada Grenchen is one of the first manufactures to produce automatic watches. The brand delivers functional yet highly elegant timepieces, perfectly suited to those in search of on-trend designs. The F77 watch presented here is a reissue of an iconic 1977 sports model. The model's compact tonneau case measures 37 mm in diameter with a thickness of 12.60 mm for enhanced wearing comfort. With a length of 45 mm, it is crafted in 316L stainless steel with a satin-brushed finish that gives it a refined, chic look. Octagonal in shape, a bezel secured by eight screws frames a double-dome sapphire crystal that shields the dial from scratches and impacts. Its anti-reflective coating ensures clear, easy reading from any angle. A screw-down crown at 3 o'clock lets you set the hours, minutes, and date. The case back is screwed and engraved with the brand logo, providing water resistance of 10 ATM.

The Dial

The round, textured dial carries the instantly recognizable woven pattern - a hallmark of the F77 collection. The embossed carbon effect paired with a blue tone makes for an easy, pleasing read. It features applied baton hour markers alongside a minute track defined by white lines. These time indicators are tracked by two baton hands and a slender seconds hand to display hours, minutes, and seconds. All markers benefit from a luminescent treatment for clear legibility in low-light conditions. The date is displayed in a window at 3 o'clock. The brand's logo and name appear below 12 o'clock, while the collection name, movement type, and the "Swiss Made" label are positioned near 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This watch is powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement. The Soprod P024 caliber features 25 jewels and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). Reliable and high-performing, it delivers precise and accurate timekeeping, with a power reserve of 38 hours.

The Strap

Crafted in 316L stainless steel, this model's integrated bracelet features an oyster style. Finished with a brushed surface, it measures 22 mm at the lug width, tapering to 16 mm at the buckle. Its length is 18.50 cm. The wrist fastening is secured by a push-button deployment clasp, also in 316L stainless steel.

Water Resistance

This model offers a water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. This is a genuinely water-resistant watch! Its sporty character makes it a perfect companion for any aquatic adventure. From puddles to the pool, this timepiece handles swimming without complaint - showers, baths, and recreational swimming are all no problem. That said, our Ocarat watch experts note that while this model is water-resistant, it is not designed for diving (professional or otherwise) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and pushers dry during immersion.
