Founded in Grenchen, Switzerland, in 1926, Nivada Grenchen is a brand celebrated for its watchmaking innovations in the 1950s and '60s and its legendary Antarctic & Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver collections. Relatively under the radar in its early decades, it made history as one of the first companies to manufacture automatic watches. The Dial

The elegant round dial, visible through the case, gives the watch a timeless, sophisticated character. It features an embossed carbon pattern finish draped in a striking black hue that makes an instant impression on the wrist. At the center, two baton hands and a slender seconds hand track the hours, minutes, and seconds, pointing to twelve applied baton indices and a minute track. Like the indices, they are coated with a luminescent layer for enhanced visibility in the dark. You'll also notice a date window at 3 o'clock. The collection name and movement type are printed at 6 o'clock alongside the "Swiss Made" label. Finally, the brand signs its creation at 12 o'clock with its name and logo.

The Movement

This watch is powered by a Swiss automatic movement - specifically the Soprod P024 caliber, renowned for its flawless quality and reliability. With 25 jewels, it beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, a frequency of 4 Hz, and delivers a power reserve of 38 hours. This movement ensures precise, dependable timekeeping and date display under any conditions.

The Bracelet

This watch comes fitted with a 316L stainless steel bracelet. Elegant and timeless, it wraps comfortably around your wrist. With its brushed links and a total length of 185 mm, it delivers a polished, sophisticated look. It features a deployant clasp measuring 16 mm wide, keeping the watch securely on your wrist. Note that the lug width is 22 mm.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance up to 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - making it a genuinely water-resistant watch.
