The Swiss watchmaking house Perrelet, founded in 1777, is renowned for its quality automatic timepieces. Its collections are as unconventional as they are elegant, crafted to grace any wrist. The brand now presents the Lab Peripheral, part of the Dual Time Grande Date family. This men's model features a cushion-shaped case crafted from stainless steel, designed to follow the natural contours of your wrist. The diameter is 42 mm with a thickness of 13.51 mm. The stunning dial of the Lab Peripheral is shielded from scratches by a highly durable sapphire crystal. The traditional crown, used for manual time adjustment, sits at three o'clock. The transparent caseback, secured with screws, gives the watch a water resistance of 5 ATM - and offers a captivating view of the automatic movement within.
At the center of the case sits a striking black and grey dial with a compelling three-dimensional effect, made possible by a multi-level architecture. The top level is grey, while the two layers beneath are black. More specifically, the watch features a peripheral front mass with engraved groove detailing - sure to intrigue any horology enthusiast. At the center of the dial, two baton hands in white and grey display the hours and minutes respectively. A slender grey seconds hand completes the trio, adding a harmonious color accent. All hands sweep over baton-shaped, silver and white indices that circle the dial's perimeter. Both hands and indices feature Superluminova treatment for low-light legibility. A black minute track with printed numerals makes time-reading effortless. Additional complications include a large date window at 12 o'clock, a second time zone indicator at 6 o'clock, and a round day/night aperture between 10 and 11 o'clock. The brand's signature appears on the right side of the dial.
This watch is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, caliber P-421, manufactured in-house by Perrelet. Exceptionally reliable, it displays hours, minutes, and seconds via central hands. The P-421 caliber provides a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement is visible through the watch's transparent caseback.
This model is fitted with a black alligator-pattern leather strap, keeping the overall aesthetic cohesive. The refined finish adds an elegant, contemporary touch to the wrist. Its black tone pairs effortlessly with any outfit. The strap fastens with a deployant buckle for a secure and polished close.
This model offers a water resistance of 5 ATM, or 50 meters. It is designed to be strikingly beautiful and turn heads - but that elegance doesn't compromise its ability to hold up in everyday conditions. You can keep it on in the shower, though the Ocarat team recommends leaving it on the edge of the sink to preserve its brilliance and integrity over time. Swimming and scuba diving, however, are strongly discouraged - you risk damaging the watch and facing repair costs.
