Staying true to that heritage, Squale introduces its latest creation: the 1521 Ocean Leather 1521OCN.PC watch. This dive watch features a barrel-shaped case crafted from 316L stainless steel - the gold standard in watchmaking for its exceptional durability. With a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 12.50 mm, it's best suited for larger wrists. The edges have been beveled using the highly regarded anglage technique, lending the watch a refined softness. The case surfaces have been meticulously polished and brushed. A true dive instrument, it features a unidirectional rotating bezel with 120 clicks. The blue insert is graduated from 0 to 60 minutes for tracking dive time. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial. The crown, used to set the time and date, is positioned at 4 o'clock. It is screw-down to prevent any water ingress, and fluted for a secure grip. The caseback is firmly screwed down, engraved with the brand's logo, and features key information including the place of manufacture and the watch's water resistance rating of 50 ATM.

The Dial

Sporting a stunning ocean blue dial, this face unmistakably evokes the watch's world - the sea. Its slightly textured, granular finish adds a richness that's genuinely pleasing to the eye. The hour markers are round, except for those at 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock, which take on a rectangular shape, and the marker at 12 o'clock, rendered as an inverted triangle. This layout makes it easy to read the time at a glance. All markers are made from SuperLuminova C3 luminescent material, so you can read the time at any hour - day or night. They're supported by a minute railroad track running entirely in white around the dial perimeter, ensuring precise time reading down to the minute and second. A date window at 3 o'clock keeps you up to date at a glance. The hour and minute hands follow the iconic "Plongeur" design. The minute hand features a bold orange finish - highly visible in the depths, ensuring divers never confuse it with the hour hand. The seconds hand is a "Paddle" type, featuring a rectangular running indicator at its tip. All three hands are fully coated in SuperLuminova C3. The manufacture origin is indicated at 6 o'clock, with the water resistance rating just above. Squale signs its latest creation at 12 o'clock.

The Movement

Built for professionals, this watch demands a movement to match. Inside beats a Swiss automatic Sellita SW 200-1 caliber - a benchmark in the industry for its precision and reliability - delivering a power reserve of 38 hours. Its frequency, regulated at 28,800 vibrations per hour, produces an exceptionally smooth sweep of the seconds hand. The "Elaborated" finishing grade ensures a daily accuracy of -7/+7 seconds per day. The movement also features quick date setting, manual winding, and a stop-seconds function.

The Strap

This timepiece is paired with a beautiful Italian leather strap in brown, featuring delicate beige contrast stitching at the lugs - adding a subtle adventurous touch to the model. A pin buckle in stainless steel serves as the clasp.
