The Watch

Celebrated for its dive watches and outstanding value for money, Swiss watchmaker Squale is based in Neuchâtel, rubbing shoulders with the most prestigious brands in the industry. One of its greatest achievements is undoubtedly the 1521 collection - the quintessence of the dive watch as envisioned by Von Büren, the brand's founder. True to that legacy, the manufacture is proud to introduce the 1521 Blue Blasted Leather 1521BLUEBL.PC watch. Its case features a robust barrel shape crafted entirely from 316L stainless steel, renowned for its exceptional shock resistance. Dimensions are kept sensible: a 42 mm diameter and a 12.50 mm thickness - versatile enough for a dive or everyday wear. The finishing alternates between polished and satin surfaces, creating a striking visual effect. True to its dive watch DNA, it features a unidirectional rotating bezel with 120 clicks. The insert, in a beautiful light blue, is graduated over 60 minutes. The "0" marker is represented by a luminescent dot set in a reverse triangle. For added comfort, the winding crown - used to set the time and date - is positioned at 4 o'clock. It is screwed down to prevent any water infiltration. Decorated with the 1521 collection logo, the case back is screwed and displays key technical specifications about the watch.

The Dial

The stunning sky blue dial echoes the color of the ocean. Hour markers take a rectangular shape at 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock. The 12 o'clock marker is represented by a reverse triangle. All other markers display a circular shape. Every hour index is filled with SuperLuminova C3 luminescent material, ensuring legibility even in low-light conditions. Supporting the markers, a white minute track runs along the outer edge of the dial, graduated over 60 minutes. A rectangular date window sits at 3 o'clock. Of the "Diver" type, the hour and minute hands are crafted in stainless steel and filled with SuperLuminova C3. Note that the minute hand features a bold orange color, making it instantly distinguishable from the hour hand. With its "Paddle" shape, the seconds hand sweeps precisely and smoothly. The rectangle at its tip is a running indicator - a mandatory feature on any dive watch. The iconic "Swiss made" inscription appears at the bottom of the dial. Above it, you'll find the collection logo along with a reminder of the watch's 50 ATM water resistance. Finally, the Swiss manufacture signs the dial at 12 o'clock with its name and logo.

The Movement

This timepiece is powered by a caliber celebrated for its robustness and precision, while honoring the tradition of mechanical watchmaking: the SW 200-1 (26 jewels) by Sellita. Its power reserve stands at 38 hours. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), it delivers a pleasantly smooth sweep of the seconds hand. Its "Elaborée" finish provides an accuracy of -7/+7 seconds per day. This movement also features a hacking seconds mechanism, quick-set date adjustment, and the ability to be manually wound.

The Strap

Made entirely in Italy, this model's strap is crafted in light brown leather. Decorated with white stitching, it will complement your wrist in any situation. The clasp is a polished stainless steel pin buckle with logo engraving. The strap width is 20 mm.

Water Resistance

This model offers a water resistance of 50 atmospheres, equivalent to 500 meters.
