The Watch

You may not know it, but the iconic self-winding movement was invented in 1777 by Abraham-Louis Perrelet. With this revolutionary invention, Swiss watchmaker Perrelet left an indelible mark on horology worldwide. To this day, no better technique exists for bringing a mechanical caliber to life. Committed to excellence and aesthetics, Perrelet now unveils its meticulous craftsmanship through a collection of unisex models (39 mm diameter) called "Weekend." The A1301/4 features a round case, 9.56 mm thick, in steel coated with 4N rose gold PVD. Its slim, understated fixed bezel puts the spotlight on the magnificent blue dial with three hands and a date window, protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The crown at 3 o'clock is grooved and medium-sized, ensuring comfortable time-setting. Finally, automatic movement enthusiasts will love the transparent caseback!

The Dial

This stunning blue dial features a domed lacquer with a sunray finish that majestically reflects the surrounding light. Steeped in classic spirit with a retro flair, it showcases a minimalist design full of refinement. The elongated baton hour markers are slim and elegant, rendered in rose gold. They complement the three hands (hours, minutes, and seconds), which share the same aesthetic and color. The minute track, rendered in white, echoes the white date window at 3 o'clock as well as the brand signature near 12 o'clock. The dial also notes the automatic movement type and Swiss manufacture.

The Movement

At Perrelet, excellence in watchmaking is non-negotiable - every caliber is produced in-house and features automatic self-winding with a rotor. This model is powered by caliber P-321, offering a 42-hour power reserve during which the watch accurately displays hours, minutes, seconds, and the date. 25 jewels are integrated into the movement, delivering smooth oscillation at 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The Strap

Perrelet selected an ultra-thin, high-quality black leather for this model, featuring an alligator-pattern finish. Tonal stitching runs along both edges of the strap, reinforcing its long-term durability. The inner lining is beige. Avoid water contact whenever possible, as it may cause premature wear of the leather. The strap fastens with a 4N rose gold PVD steel pin buckle.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 5 atmospheres, equivalent to 50 meters, this watch takes its first step into the world of water resistance. While not designed for bathing, lap swimming, or scuba diving, you can safely forget to remove it in the shower. That said, our team of experts recommends keeping this timepiece dry to preserve its movement for years to come.
