The Watch
Swiss watchmaker Mido reinvents its Multifort collection with automatic dual time zone (GMT) models. The house introduced its first automatic watch in 1967 - and fifty years on, continues to push the boundaries of innovation. This timepiece exudes a sport-chic aesthetic true to the brand's DNA, with its signature black palette and bold orange accents. It features a 316L stainless steel case with black PVD coating. At a comfortable 42mm diameter and 13.39mm thickness, it sits perfectly on a man's wrist. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, ensuring scratch resistance and flawless clarity. A winding crown at 3 o'clock lets you set your watch at any time. The beauty extends all the way to the caseback: screwed down and transparent, it offers an endless view of the movement in action. Water-resistant to 10 ATM.
The Dial
The dial captivates with its ebony hue and interplay of shadows. Mido showcases the artistry of its master craftsmen by reimagining the Côtes de Genève that adorned the original Multifort models - now broader, delivering a cleaner design and exceptional legibility. Another hallmark of Mido's expertise is the dual-circle layout at the center of the dial, representing a dual time zone complication. The inner circle displays the 24-hour time zone using Arabic numerals in white for odd hours and orange baton indexes for even hours. The outer circle features luminescent grey baton indexes marking the hours, bordered by a white minute railway track running along the dial's edge. Four distinct hands occupy the center: the orange hand is dedicated to the 24-hour time zone; two luminescent black dauphine hands indicate hours and minutes; and the seconds hand tracks each passing second. A discreet date window sits at 3 o'clock, keeping you up to date at a glance. Mido signs its work beneath the 12 o'clock index, where the automatic movement designation, the collection name, and the dual time zone indication are also printed.
The Movement
This timepiece is powered by an automatic movement - an exclusive caliber belonging to the Swatch Group, based on the ETA C07.661 manufacture movement in Mido 80 caliber. It is complemented by a GMT function (dual time zone).
The Strap
The Multifort Dual Time is fitted with a genuine leather strap. Finished in black with an alligator texture, it reflects Mido's dedication to fine craftsmanship - supple, comfortable, and beautifully detailed, as evidenced by the black stitching and polished edges. The harmonious color palette and sport-chic aesthetic make this timepiece the perfect everyday wrist companion. The strap fastens with a black butterfly clasp and features a 22mm lug width.
Water Resistance
This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - making it a genuinely water-resistant timepiece. Whether you're splashing through puddles or jumping in the pool, this watch handles it without complaint. Showers, baths, and laps in the pool? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watch experts want to be clear: while water-resistant, this model is not suited for diving (recreational or professional) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and pushers dry during submersion.
