The Watch

For decades, Casio has been engineering cutting-edge timepieces with a design all their own. Known for their functionality and toughness, these watches consistently deliver. Meet the Watch ECB-40PB-1AEF - a masterful fusion of smart features, innovative technology, and sporty design. It sports a round carbon fiber case with a 48 mm diameter, 12.70 mm thickness, and 52.50 mm lug-to-lug length. An ion-plated bezel marked with Arabic numerals adds precision timekeeping at a glance, surrounding a mineral crystal over the dial. Four pushers on either side of the case handle all function adjustments. A screw-secured caseback ensures a water resistance of 10 ATM. The watch weighs 62 g.

The Dial

This superb model shines through its dial - a perfect marriage of style and utility. Dynamic and bold, it features a black background with details reminiscent of a racing car dashboard. The multi-layered design presents two silver-tone sword-shaped hands for hours and minutes, gliding over baton indexes and a digital display sub-dial that also shows hours and minutes. Multiple function modes and a blue-rimmed counter complete the look. The inner bezel features a minutes railway for added precision. Casio signs the dial with its name and logo at 3 o'clock.

The Functions

Bluetooth® Smart

The watch features energy-efficient Bluetooth® technology for seamless one-button data transfer. The Bluetooth® function wirelessly connects the watch to a smartphone, unlocking a host of highly practical features.

Smartphone Time

When the wall clock is paired with a smartphone, the time is set automatically and displays the current local time anywhere in the world.

Super Illuminator

One press of a button lights up the dial in vibrant, on-trend colors.

Neobrite Coating

The hands and/or indexes feature a fluorescent coating that continues to glow in the dark after the watch has been exposed to a light source.

World Time Function

The world time function displays local time across 29 different time zones.

Stopwatch function - 1/1000 sec - 24 hours

Elapsed time, split times, and total time are measured to 1/1000th of a second accuracy, up to a maximum of 24 hours.

200-Lap Memory

This memory logs dated stopwatch times, lap times, and split times for later review. Each data block includes: date, elapsed time, lap duration, and split times. The memory stores up to 200 such data blocks.

Countdown Timers - 1/1 sec - 24 hours

For the precision-minded: countdown timers remind you of important or recurring events with an audible alert at your set date and time. Countdowns can be programmed in seconds, up to 24 hours in advance.

Schedule Timer

Never miss a beat with the Schedule Timer. Your smartphone calendar appointments sync directly to the watch and appear on screen with start and end times - plus a countdown alert 120 minutes before each event.

5 Daily Alarms

An audible alarm reminds you of your daily commitments at your programmed time. This model features five independent alarms so you can flexibly track all your important appointments.

Day of the week display in multiple languages

The day is displayed in multiple languages of your choice.

Button Beep On/Off

The button beep can be muted using the mode button. Once disabled, no beep sounds when switching between functions. However, any programmed alarms or countdown timers remain active even after the button beep is turned off.

Hand Shift Function

This function moves the hands when they obstruct the visibility of the time, date, or stopwatch function.

Auto Calendar

Once programmed, the auto calendar always displays the correct date.

12/24-Hour Time Format

You can display the time in 12-hour or 24-hour format.

With a water resistance of 100 meters - that's 10 ATM in watchmaking terms - this bold timepiece handles both black-tie events and the water with ease. Feel free to wear it in the shower, the bath, or the pool (even for an intense swim session!). That said, our watch experts want to be clear: this model is not designed for scuba diving, freediving, or use with high-pressure water jets. Remember: shower, bath, and swimming only - and keep the pushers and crown untouched while submerged!
