The Watch

BA111OD is a watchmaking brand founded in 2019 by Thomas Baillod. Rooted in exceptional watchmaking expertise, it crafts timepieces that embrace the codes of Haute Horlogerie. Each piece strikes a balanced blend of techniques, design, and materials that rise to the challenge of time. Its models feature automatic dual-oscillator movements designed and assembled in Switzerland. This passionate and creative young brand continually pushes its limits to offer watch enthusiasts robust, precise, and captivating watches - such as the Chapitre 4.1 T.V.D., designed to grace men's wrists. It features a Grade 5 titanium case with an anthracite gun metal DLC coating that gives it a refined gray appearance. Brushed and polished, it is highly resistant and measures 44 mm in diameter with a thickness of 11 mm. It features a gray, knurled crown at 4 o'clock for a secure grip, which - defying its traditional position - enables adjustment of the dial's key elements. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with a double anti-reflective coating for effortless readability. The watch also features NFC technology, allowing it to connect with a smartphone for data transfers. Finally, the case back is transparent, engraved, and secured with screws, providing 5 ATM water resistance - and offering a clear view of the movement's inner workings.

The Dial

With its mechanical design, this dial makes a striking statement. In a gray tone, it features a skeleton finish that lets you admire the oscillations of its movement. The outer ring displays a blue circle with hour markers alternating with the minute track and Arabic numerals marking the minutes at 5-minute intervals. At the center, two gray hands indicate the time with precision - the long hand for minutes and the short hand for hours. Both hands and the hour markers are coated with a Super-LumiNova treatment for enhanced legibility in low-light conditions. An additional tourbillon counter at 7 o'clock tracks the small seconds via a small gold seconds hand. The Swiss mention and the brand name are elegantly printed on the crystal as a signature.

The Movement

This watch is powered by an in-house BA.01 tourbillon mechanical movement. Of Swiss origin, this caliber ensures precision across all functions. It beats at a frequency of 21,600 alt/h, or 3 Hz, and features 19 jewels to minimize friction. Its shock resistance is rated at 5,000 G, while its magnetic resistance reaches 2,000 Gauss. Totally reliable, it delivers a power reserve of 105 hours.

The Strap

This strap is elevated by a beautiful blue tone that gives it a refined, polished look. Crafted from Saffiano calfskin leather with textured striped lines, it strikes the perfect balance between durability and flexibility, ensuring comfortable wear in any situation. Finished with tone-on-tone topstitching, it works effortlessly for any occasion. A pin buckle makes it easy to put on and take off.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 5 atmospheres, equivalent to 50 meters, this watch offers a solid entry into water resistance. While it's not designed for swimming, diving, or bathing, you can safely forget to take it off in the shower. That said, our experts recommend keeping this timepiece dry to preserve its movement for years to come.
