The Watch

Herbelin has honored the traditions of French watchmaking since 1947, combining elegance, understated refinement, and generations of expertise. The brand's Cap Camarat collection draws inspiration from the French Riviera, with a sculpted, athletic design that blends the fundamentals of French style with modern functionality. This line now welcomes the chronograph timepiece 37645PR14CA - a sport-chic evolution of a 1970s aesthetic. The watch features a 42 mm diameter, 10.45 mm thick tonneau case crafted in stainless steel with a rose gold PVD treatment. Its vertical brushed finish is subtly highlighted by polished facets, while the barrel shape reinforces an impression of solid robustness. The case houses a protected crown at 3 o'clock stamped with the Herbelin logo. The knurled crown handles the setting of hours, minutes, and date, and is flanked by two rectangular pushers for chronograph operation. Above the middle case, a fixed bezel secured by screws frames a flat sapphire crystal, offering excellent scratch resistance and a clear view of the dial. Finally, the case back is secured with 8 screws, ensuring water resistance of 10 ATM.

The Dial

The dial of this watch exudes a luxurious design defined by horizontal stripes. Reminiscent of a classic French marinière, they reflect the brand's enduring connection to the sea. Refined and textured, the dial features a black sunray finish that creates a beautiful contrast. It is framed by a minute track around the perimeter with Arabic numerals for precise timekeeping. Baton hour markers in rose gold are filled with luminescent material - as are the baton hands for hours and minutes - ensuring clear legibility in low light. The seconds hand is slender with a rose gold tint and a rectangular counterweight. The dial features three sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock indicating small seconds, 1/10th of a second, and 30 minutes respectively. The ensemble is completed by the Herbelin name between 11 and 1 o'clock and a refined date window at 6 o'clock. The manufacture also proudly displays the "Made in France" label, also at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This model is powered by a Swiss-made quartz movement. Reliable and precise, the Ronda 5040 D caliber drives the analog display, the 3 sub-dials, and the date window.

The Strap

This watch is fitted with a sturdy strap crafted in black Newport FKM elastomer, delivering optimal comfort. Secured with a pin buckle, it complements every look - as elegant as it is sporty.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 100 meters - or 10 ATM in the beloved language of watchmaking - this bold timepiece is equally at home at a black-tie gala and in the water. Feel free to wear it in the shower, the bath, or the pool (yes, even during those energetic laps). That said, our expert watchmaking team wants to be clear: this model is not designed for scuba diving (freediving or tank), nor for use with high-pressure washers. Remember: shower, bath, and swimming only - and never operate the pushers or crown while submerged.
