Founded in 1955, Kelton is an iconic brand that made its mark in the 1970s. Today, it crafts timepieces with a classic look that blend design and lightness with a touch of nostalgia. Enter the Watch 1955 40 ATM 9123942 - a name that pays tribute to the brand's founding year. It was worn by Stanislas Huille, Vice-Champion of France in the 100 m butterfly, at the World Aquatics Championships. Available as a limited edition of just 100 pieces, it comes in a well-proportioned tonneau-shaped case measuring 39.50 mm in diameter and 13 mm thick. Crafted in stainless steel, it features a refined brushed finish that highlights its handsome silver tone. The case is fitted with a carefully notched bezel with a silver insert engraved with a detailed minute track from 0 to 15 minutes. This surrounds a flat sapphire crystal that shields the dial from scratches and damage. The central elements are operated via the 7 mm screw-down crown at 3 o'clock, engraved with the brand logo. Finally, the screw-down case back ensures water resistance to 40 ATM.
This watch features a dial that balances performance and aesthetics. Enhancing the model's classic look, it showcases a navy blue base defined by a rehaut in the same tone. A minute track adds precision to the minutes, while oversized round hour markers at 6, 9, and 12 o'clock indicate the hours. These are complemented by two baton hands, both coated - along with the indices - in SuperLuminova for easy time reading in low light. The dial is completed by a round date window at 3 o'clock, a practical everyday feature. The brand name is signed below 12 o'clock, with the movement and water resistance indicated above 6 o'clock.
This model is powered by a reliable and robust Japanese automatic movement - the Miyota 8215 caliber, beating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. Featuring 21 jewels, it delivers a power reserve of 42 hours with an accuracy of -20 / +40 seconds per day, efficiently driving both the hands and the date display.
The watch's understated yet charming look carries through to its stainless steel bracelet. Silver-toned with a brushed finish, it features three rows of links for lasting comfort throughout the day. Its versatile color makes it easy to pair with any outfit or accessory. It fastens with a deployant clasp with push buttons.
With a water resistance of 40 atmospheres - equivalent to 400 meters - all that's left for our watch specialists to say is: dive in. Fully waterproof, this model is ready for anything: shower, bath, swimming, free diving, or scuba diving. To preserve the timepiece's lasting water resistance, our watchmakers recommend avoiding any use of the pushers or crown while submerged.
