The first Kelton watch was born in the 1950s, after a Frenchman met with the leadership of American watchmaker Timex. The Kelton workshop set up in Besançon, and every piece earned the "French watch" label. These affordably priced timepieces sold everywhere, championed by iconic figures of the era such as singer Sylvie Vartan and Formula 1 driver Emerson Fittipaldi. Since 2016, the brand has reinvented itself, launching new chic watch collections at wallet-friendly prices.

During the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Kelton embraced the colors of the French national soccer team with its two-star watches. Pushing further, the watchmaker launched an "adventure" collection called Jungle, crafted from recycled materials.
