The Watch

Swiss watchmaking house Tissot brings its clients modern, design-forward timepieces - and today introduces the T-Touch Connect Solar. A bold fusion of innovation and heritage, this smartwatch is a reimagining of the world's first touch-screen watch. The case is a satin-finished titanium tonneau shape measuring 47 millimeters in diameter, with distinctly masculine proportions. It's topped by a black ceramic bezel featuring a built-in compass function. At 3 o'clock, a screw-down crown lets you set the hands, navigate the menu, and activate the backlight - flanked by two pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock. The "Start" pusher at 2 o'clock controls the chronograph and countdown timer, and locks/unlocks the watch. The "Back" pusher at 4 o'clock logs your athletic performance and opens the menu. The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire touch crystal that lets you navigate all features with a simple tap. With a screw-secured case back, this watch is water-resistant to 10 atmospheres.

The Dial

The dial is round and black, sitting at the center of this watch. Its dual display delivers an optimal reading experience for both the time and the various features. The analog display handles timekeeping, shown through two skeleton hands and a slim red seconds hand sweeping over hours, minutes, and seconds marked by geometric indices and a railroad minute track.
