The Watch

Founded in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont - a graduate of the École Nationale d'Horlogerie de Besançon and a watchmaking pioneer who championed automation in the craft - Yema has always pushed boundaries. Based in Morteau, the heartland of French watchmaking, the brand creates timepieces purpose-built for diving, motorsport, space exploration, and sailing. In 1963, it paid tribute to elite athletes with the iconic "Superman" model, water-resistant to 300 meters and built for professional divers. That same passion and expertise lives on today in the Superman Slim CMM.20 Blue Watch - sleek, versatile, and designed to fit any wrist. The model features a round case, slimmer than its predecessor, with subtly curved finishes. Crafted from brushed and polished 316L stainless steel, it commands attention at every glance. It measures 48 mm in length, 39 mm in diameter, and 9.95 mm in thickness - ideal proportions for men's wrists. A screwed gray crown sits at 3 o'clock, fitted with a double O-ring seal for protection and engraved with the brand's logo in relief; its fluted profile ensures a firm grip while adjusting the central hands. It also incorporates a patented crown-lock system to prevent accidental adjustments. The dial is protected from shocks and scratches by a double-dome sapphire crystal measuring 2.00 mm thick. Atop it sits a round sapphire bezel in graduated blue with a Super-LumiNova Grade A marker, set off by a vertically brushed finish. Fluted and unidirectional, it is an essential tool for diving. The whole is sealed by a screwed and numbered caseback ensuring water resistance of 30 ATM, with a sapphire crystal porthole offering a captivating view of the movement.

The Dial

This clean, minimalist dial brings an elegant touch to the timepiece. On its round base, it reveals a blue background enhanced by a lacquered enamel finish that creates a milky, textured effect. Brilliantly glossy, it offers smooth and effortless time reading. Its perimeter features a minute track complemented by printed geometric indices marking the hours. Together, these indicators are swept by three hands at the center, coated with a Super-LumiNova C1 Grade A treatment - also applied to the hour indices - for optimal legibility in low-light conditions. The hands consist of a slender white seconds hand, along with a long and a short hand in polished steel marking the minutes and hours respectively. Lower on the dial, the country of manufacture is noted, while just above 6 o'clock, the caliber size and movement type are indicated. Finally, the brand places its logo, name, and collection name beneath the triangle index at 12 o'clock as its signature.

The Movement

At the heart of this model beats an automatic movement developed in-house. Reliable and robust, it is specifically the Manufacture Morteau 20 caliber (CMM.20), boasting a slim profile of 3.70 mm. It oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz), is equipped with 33 jewels to minimize friction, and drives the hands with a precision of -3/+7 seconds per day. This non-magnetic alloy mechanism delivers a power reserve of 70 hours and features a Glucydur balance wheel along with an Incabloc system for resistance to magnetic fields and shocks.

The Strap

This Superman Slim comes fitted with a Scales Slim bracelet that adds instant appeal to any look. Crafted entirely from 316L stainless steel with a brushed finish for a refined touch, it features hexagonal-shaped center links that contour beautifully to the wrist for a comfortable wear. Its attractive silver tone pairs seamlessly with your accessories, striking the perfect balance between sporty and chic for everyday wear. The strap has a lug width of 20 mm and tapers gradually toward the buckle - a Yema-signed double-security deployant clasp with an extension for quick and easy adjustment during diving.
