The Citizen is an independent brand within the Citizen watch group. Founded in 1995, it embodies everything Citizen does best - the symbol of its expertise and the pinnacle of its watchmaking knowledge. It is, quite simply, the Japanese maison's finest line. Across their entire collection, you'll find the precision and poetry that define the Japanese spirit. In this tradition, the manufacture presents one of its latest creations: the Super Titanium Eco-Drive - AQ4091-56L watch. Designed with a round case measuring 40 mm in diameter, its shape and size make it an exceptionally versatile timepiece that sits beautifully on any wrist size. Adding to its wearability, the case is crafted from Duratect titanium, making it incredibly lightweight compared to a standard stainless steel watch - 40% lighter, to be exact. Beyond its featherlight feel, this material also delivers enhanced shock resistance and excellent resistance to magnetic fields. The sapphire crystal set into this watch has received an anti-reflective coating for optimal readability in any conditions. To set the time and date, a winding crown is positioned at 3 o'clock - grooved and engraved with the brand's logo, it adds both ergonomic comfort and visual flair. The screw-down caseback is engraved with the brand's emblem and features inscriptions detailing key specifications, including the watch's reference, movement, and 10 ATM water resistance.
You won't find a blue dial quite like this one anywhere else. It's crafted from washi paper fiber - a material deeply rooted in Japanese culture, widely used in interiors and famously used to make traditional sliding doors. On this watch, the result is simply stunning, with a distinctively textured finish. The hour indices are baton-shaped, meticulously hand-finished to a brilliant polish. Their edges have been given the finest beveling treatment. A white minute track rings the dial, providing a precise minute graduation for accurate timekeeping. The hour and minute hands are dauphine-shaped and feature a luminescent coating for legibility even in the dark. A date window sits at 3 o'clock, neatly framed by a polished stainless steel ring. The brand's emblem - a heraldic eagle - is positioned at 6 o'clock. Finally, The Citizen signs its creation at 12 o'clock.
Just as impressive as the rest of the watch, the movement powering it is a high-pedigree in-house Eco-Drive A060 solar quartz caliber (23 jewels). It delivers exceptional accuracy of -5/+5 seconds per year - hard to beat. Its power reserve stands at 7 months, but in practice it's virtually unlimited: the watch continuously recharges in any light - natural or artificial. On top of that, this caliber features an autonomous perpetual calendar, sparing you the tedious end-of-month adjustments and leap year corrections. You can also activate a power reserve indicator via a pusher at 2 o'clock. And as a final touch, if the movement detects a shock, it will automatically lock the hands to prevent any misalignment.
Hand-finished like the case, this watch is dressed in a stunning titanium bracelet featuring the iconic Zaratsu finishing crafted by master artisans. The alternating brushed and polished surfaces give it a superb sport-chic aesthetic suited to any occasion. The clasp, engraved with the maison's signature logo, is a deployant buckle.
This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. Built to handle water with ease, it's ready to dive into aquatic adventures right alongside you - from puddles to the pool. Showers, baths, and lap swimming? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want to be clear: while this model is water-resistant, it is not designed for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and pushers dry during immersion.
