Founded in 1961, Sinn is a German brand celebrated for the robustness, reliability, and exceptional quality of its timepieces. It blends precision engineering with Swiss mechanics while pioneering proprietary technologies - delivering watches that rise to every expectation. Proud of its 356 collection, Sinn introduces the 356 Flieger Classique W Watch to mark the 25th anniversary of this iconic line, which became a cornerstone of the brand in 1998. Originally produced as a limited edition for the Japanese market in 1996, it's a remarkable chronograph combining charming design with impeccable finishing. Exceptionally comfortable, the case measures a modest 38.50 mm in diameter and a notable 15.60 mm in thickness, for a weight of 71 g. Crafted with the utmost care, it blends vintage character with contemporary quality, highlighted by a micro-blasted finish that brings out the silver tone of the round case. The case is made from stainless steel for lasting durability. It is topped by a double-dome acrylic crystal 5 mm thick. The crown at 3 o'clock is carefully knurled and features a domed surface stamped with the brand's logo, adding a sophisticated finishing touch. Protected and screwed down, it allows adjustment of the hour and minute hands and is flanked by two pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock for chronograph operation. This watch complies with the technical requirements of DIN 8310 and features a domed, screw-down caseback ensuring water resistance to 10 ATM.
The W in this edition's name indicates a white dial. Radiating timeless elegance, it features a satin finish and a Bicompax layout for effortless time reading. Contrasted by black sub-dials that let the classic composition truly shine, this is a traditional "panda" dial accentuated by printed black Arabic numerals paired with small luminescent rectangular indexes. The perimeter is defined by a minute track with graduation markers for quarter-second readings during short-duration measurements. Nighttime legibility is enhanced by luminescent coating applied to the sword hands and the arrow-tipped chronograph seconds hand. The two counters are perfectly symmetrical and brilliantly finished with concentric stripe patterns, adding to the dial's refined appeal. The counter at 3 o'clock tracks 30 minutes, while the one at 9 o'clock displays the small seconds. As a signature touch, the brand has graced the dial at 6 o'clock with the unmistakable inscription "FLIEGER KLASSIK" - itself a new addition to this series. The SINN logo is printed just below 12 o'clock.
This watch is powered by a high-precision Swiss automatic movement with a power reserve of over 56 hours. It features the robust SW510 caliber, equipped with 27 jewels and oscillating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. With a stop-seconds function, this movement is based on the architecture of the Valjoux 7750 - the same engine that originally powered the 356 PILOT. It also offers magnetic field protection in accordance with DIN 8309 standards. The movement drives an analog display with a chronograph complication.
This model comes with a stainless steel bracelet in silver with a micro-blasted finish. It features a row of H-Link links for optimal flexibility and comfort, paired with a sharp, refined look. The bracelet measures 20 mm at the lug width and fastens with a deployant clasp for a secure and comfortable fit.
This model is water-resistant to 10 atmospheres (100 meters) - making it fully capable of handling everyday water exposure. From puddles to the pool, this timepiece handles splashes, showers, baths, and casual swimming without breaking a sweat. That said, our Ocarat watch experts want you to know that while this watch is water-resistant, it is not designed for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend avoiding crown or pushbutton operation while the watch is submerged.
