The Watch

U-Boat, the watchmaking brand specializing in marine-inspired creations, unveils the Sommerso DLC. Featuring a DLC-treated AISI 316L stainless steel case measuring 46 mm in diameter, this watch guarantees outstanding legibility. The DLC treatment - renowned for its friction resistance - delivers a hardness comparable to that of a diamond! The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, keeping everyday scratches at bay. A screw-down crown secured by a screw-down cap sits at 9 o'clock, while a black unidirectional graduated bezel tops the dial. The case back is screw-secured and engraved. With water resistance to 30 atmospheres, or 300 meters, this watch is built to follow you everywhere.

The Dial

This timepiece features a round black dial with gold indices. Shaped as batons, these indices are complemented by 3 Arabic numeral indices (4, 8, and 12), also in gold. The 3 hands indicating hours, minutes, and seconds are black and gold, with a luminescent section for easy reading in the dark. They point to the indices and the minute track that runs around the dial. At four o'clock, you'll find a 24H subdial; at 9 o'clock, a date window lets you check today's date at a glance under a magnifying lens. U-Boat signs its name between the 12 o'clock index and the hands, also noting the model's water resistance.

The Movement

Powered by a Swiss automatic movement with 26 jewels, this watch beats at 28,800 oscillations per hour. Its 36-hour power reserve means you won't need to reset the watch if you take it off for less than that time. The U-Boat movement drives the hands, the subdial, and the date window.

The Strap

This watch is fitted with a black rubber strap with a black PVD pin buckle closure. The buckle lets you fasten the watch to your wrist quickly and easily. Note that the strap features a lug width of 22 millimeters, making it compatible with all wrist sizes!

Water Resistance

With water resistance to 30 atmospheres - that's 300 meters - our entire team of watch specialists has just one thing to say: enjoy your next aquatic adventure. Fully waterproof, this model goes everywhere with you: shower, bath, swimming, freediving, scuba - it handles it all. That said, to maintain the watch's rock-solid water resistance, our watchmakers recommend not operating the pushers or crown while diving.
