Kuoe Kyoto is a young Japanese-born brand that shares its watchmaking expertise through its timepieces. Today, the brand unveils its first dive watch, the Sombrero 90-011 Salmon Linen Textured Dial - a testament to rich heritage and exceptional quality. Evoking the Sombrero Galaxy, celebrated as one of the most breathtaking sights in the universe, it is designed for men. It features a round case measuring 38 mm in diameter and 12.45 mm in thickness over a length of 45.50 mm. It is crafted in brushed and polished 316L stainless steel, lending it a refined look with lasting durability. To operate the central functions, two gray screw-down crowns are positioned at 2 and 4 o'clock, featuring a grooved finish for a secure grip. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal that guards against everyday shocks. It is anti-reflective treated for optimal legibility, and also features an anti-fingerprint coating that repels water- and oil-based dirt. This watch is sealed by a screw-down and engraved case back, ensuring a water resistance of 20 ATM.

The Dial

This clean and attractive dial delivers reliable timekeeping. It features a linen finish with a salmon-colored base, revealing a woven effect. Along the edge, it hosts a bidirectional inner bezel made of aluminum, displaying a minute scale. This is followed by the minute track. These markers are complemented by Arabic numeral indexes alternating with baton indexes to indicate the hours. All are swept over by the three silver hands at the center. The hour and minute hands point to the minutes and hours, while the slender seconds hand counts the seconds. They are coated with old radium SuperLuminova treatment for optimal legibility when needed. This same coating is also applied to the bezel indexes and the various hour markers. Lower down, at 6 o'clock, key information is noted, including the collection name, water resistance, magnetic resistance, and the place of manufacture. Just below 12 o'clock, the brand name is inscribed as a signature.

The Movement

This model is powered by a reliable and robust automatic movement - the Miyota 9039 caliber - delivering accuracy of -20 to +40 seconds per day. This Japanese mechanism features a stop-seconds device and is resistant to magnetic fields and vibrations. It beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with 24 jewels minimizing friction and a power reserve of 41 hours.

Highlighted by tone-on-tone stitching, it wraps your wrist with effortless elegance. Its 316L stainless steel pin buckle lets you adjust the fit to your exact preference.

These straps have a lug width of 20 mm and a length ranging from 150 to 210 mm.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters, this model is every bit a true dive watch. Our watchmaking experts agree: while this timepiece is more than up to the task for showers, baths, lap swimming, freediving, and recreational scuba diving, it is not intended for extreme deep-sea diving where pressure would exceed its resistance. For professional divers tackling serious depth challenges, we recommend exploring models rated at 30 atmospheres and above. We also recommend keeping the pushers and crown out of the water at all times to maintain a perfect seal.
