The Watch

Edox is a Swiss watchmaking brand founded in 1884, renowned for its exceptional dive watches launched with every new collection. Edox now relaunches the iconic SkyDiver in a series of special edition models, including the Skydiver 80131-3NC-NDRO. Originally conceived in the 1960s as a tribute to skydivers and the extreme conditions they face, this line has been reimagined for today. The model presented here features a round case - slightly smaller than the original - with a 38 mm diameter, a thickness of 13.70 mm, and a weight of 89 grams, making it a perfect fit for both men's and women's wrists. Crafted in stainless steel, it features a unidirectional bezel with a black ceramic insert engraved with a countdown scale and a luminescent marker. A domed sapphire crystal shields the dial from scratches and impacts alike. All settings are handled via the grooved, screw-down crown fitted with a double O-ring for enhanced water resistance. Finally, the screw-down case back guarantees water resistance to 30 ATM and is polished with an engraved parachute along with the brand logo and name.

The Dial

Designed for effortless timekeeping, the dial features a striking smoked finish that transitions from black to rose for a distinctive depth. Minutes are displayed via a minute track with elongated white graduations along the edge, while hours are marked by geometric-shaped indices. Both the indices and the two dauphine hands for hours and minutes benefit from Superluminova treatment for clear legibility in low-light conditions. Seconds are tracked by an arrow-tipped seconds hand. The three o'clock index is replaced by a date window for added precision. To finish, the brand signs the dial below 12 o'clock and places watch-specific information at the opposite position.

The Movement

This model is powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement - specifically the Edox 80 caliber, based on the Sellita SW 200. Equipped with 26 jewels to minimize friction and offering a power reserve of 38 hours, this movement oscillates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers precise analog timekeeping along with a date display.

The Strap

This special edition watch comes with two bovine leather straps secured by a pin buckle. The first is a soft light rose shade, the second a bold fuchsia pink. Both straps measure 20 mm in lug width and offer comfortable all-day wear.

Water Resistance

With water resistance to 30 atmospheres - equivalent to 300 meters - there's nothing left for our watch specialists to say but: dive in. Fully waterproof, this model goes everywhere: shower, bath, swimming, freediving, or scuba - it handles it all. That said, to keep the watch's water resistance intact, our watchmakers strongly recommend against operating the pushers or crown while submerged.
